Furlenco - Category Manager - IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI

As a Category Manager of House of Kieraya, you are mandated to build the furniture category for BHARAT and drive the company's vision to become the largest home and lifestyle company in India. The role will include driving excellence in product category and subcategory assortment groups by ensuring supreme GTM, product availability and owning product success metrics of Revenue and Margin.

Business strategy

- Own the business : Co-own the P&L, develop the business model, understand where opportunities are and create a viable business to service them

- Know the customer : Deeply understand customer behaviour, develop new customer insights

- Know the market : Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.

Assortment strategy

- Identity gaps in the category across all key price points / sub-categories / designs / functionalities, and work with the design team to ensure complete assortment in your category

- Work closely with the research team on generating ideas for next $M product

- Ideate and implement impactful GTM strategy for new products

Traffic & Merchandising Planning

- Own online shopping journey of users and define key KPIs to drive best-in-class shopping experience

- Liaison with marketing team to generate demand for your category

- Work closely with tech team to drive product features for improving conversion rates

- Build data visibility and dashboards for tracking relevant trends and build experiments calendar

Demand & Supply Planning

- Build demand forecasting models to accurately forecast future demand across category / sub-category

- Manage inventory levels to maximize sales, procuring additional stock, and getting rid of excess or unwanted inventory to drive category utilization

- Liaison with sourcing to ensure product availability across locations

Desired Skills And Functional Experience

- Educational background - Graduation, MBA from Tier 1 Institute

- 3-5 years experience in category management in top E-commerce companies; Preferred in Furniture category

- Desire and ability to think like the customer

- High Levels of Ownership and Drive

- Proven skills in working with varied stakeholders across functions

- Willingness to learn rapidly + Ability to consistently make things better

- Clear and articulate communication akin to a person with clarity of thought

- Bias for action and hunger for getting things done attitude

- Strong data analytical skills

- Strong MS Excel & power-point skills
