We have an opportunity with one of our leading clients -MNC Bank in Mumbai for a opening of Fundamental credit research_Structured Finance

Desk Description:

The Asia Flow Credit Trading desk makes markets in G3 currency (mainly USD) bonds issued by companies and sovereigns in the APAC region.

Desk analysts work with onshore traders to assist them to position risk from a fundamental perspective, form a credit view & recommend trade ideas on IG, HY cash bonds and CDS.

Role and responsibilities:

Fundamental credit research on the names traded by the desk, and generating trading ideas for the desk based on fundamental & technical analysis

Update onshore traders on events (e.g. earnings, corporate actions, rating events, industry outlooks, mgmt. briefings etc) along with our view on the impact for the credit and the valuations

Credit initiation and enhancement of existing coverage with in-depth analysis of companies culminating in views/trade ideas

Preparation of fundamental updates on covered names with 1-page snapshots, cheat sheets, presentations and marketing materials

Generating MIS reports for the desk

Person Specification:

Strong technical and quantitative academic background (top tier school or a CA)

Good understanding of finance and credit; ability to understand financial statements

Well versed in MS Office applications (esp MS Excel); fluency with Bloomberg will be an advantage

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

Driven / dedicated

Superior analytical aptitude, problem solving abilities
