Fund Operations Analyst - Global Investment Firm - CA

The company is a global investment firm focused on emerging markets with a significant investment in the India market.

ROLE:

Accounting & Finance

- Coordinate preparation of financial statements for fund and proprietary entities in accordance with US GAAP on a quarterly basis

- Coordinate year end closing and audit

- Preparing quarterly and annual expense budgets for funds, investment holding companies and manager entities

- MIS reporting including cost-variance analysis

- Involve in preparing presentations to potential investors for raising capital and negotiating fund terms

Investment Related

- Deal support - liaising with banks, DPs and counterparties for cash and custody account opening, inward and outward remittances, securities custody, statutory compliance

- Monitoring performance of investments (quantitative information)

Investor Relations

- Coordinating preparation of quarterly report to investors, US tax reporting etc.

- Ensuring compliance with all terms of agreements with investors

- Point of contact for investor queries, ensuring quick response time

- Preparing customized proprietary information for pension funds, university endowments, public entities etc.

Operations

- Liaising with banks for account set-up, wire transfers, fee negotiation etc.

- Reconciling bank account statements, interest income schedules, interest on loan statements for all entities

Treasury

- Liaising with banks for identifying currency exposure, strategies for hedging and preparing hedging models

- Negotiating with banks for debt placement at fund level (line of credit or leverage) and project level (leverage)

Taxation

- Setting up tax-efficient structures based on different double taxation treaties, taxation in each geography etc.

- Liaising US-tax information reporting to investors including Schedule K-1s, year-end estimate etc.

Legal

- Coordinating with lawyers for preparing PPMs, fund documentation etc. for setting up each fund

- Reviewing technical support and advisory services agreements between different entities

Qualifications:

- CA is a must with 4-5 years of experience

- Experience at a Big 4 is considered a plus
