Fund Manager - Fixed Income - Banking

To manage the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) mandate under UTI PMS according to the statutory investment pattern. The key emphasis is to outperform the stated peer group and the benchmark and ensure all statutory norms are adhered to.

Key Responsibility Areas : 

- Responsible for Fund Performance (against peer and benchmark)

- Assisting Head - Fixed Income/ Head PMS to take a conscious call on duration and credit rating, view on interest rates, economic scenario, liquidity conditions in debt markets

- Taking investment decisions be it buy or sell (as per approvals of the client) either through primary market or the secondary market through interactions with brokers/intermediaries, company officials, market players, economists, credit research specialists, internet, and other sources

- Deciding on credit exposures based on the limits issued by the EPFO with input from research giving due consideration to prudent investment limits as decided at EPFO level and internally from time to time.

- Interacting with the client (EPFO) on regular basis

- Responding to all the queries as and when raised by the EPFO regarding the fund and/ or underlying exposure or any such issue raised from time to time

- Interacting with the concurrent auditors appointed by the EPFO

- Preparing the reports as per requirement of the EPFO

- Monitoring the portfolio and reviewing the performance of funds with Head - Fixed Income/ Head - PMS & MD regularly

- Presenting overview of funds managed to the Debt Steering Committee three to four times a year

- Co-ordinating with Marketing to share knowledge on funds, schemes and portfolios, dividend schedules to help them with their marketing efforts.

- Ensuring that various investment restrictions and other provisions relating to investments, laid down by EPFO Investment Guidelines, SEBI PMS regulations, Internal Audit are adhered to

- Tracking corporate action in respect of the scripts held by the funds and coordinating with other departments to obtain requisite information regularly.

- Monitoring company / sector performance, visiting companies (in co-ordination with DOSR), deciding on asset resource allocation & stock selection with regard to all the funds managed by him/her

- Preparing & present investment performance & compliance related reports to the management, Board of UTI AMC & UTI Trustee CO Ltd. as may be required.
