Job Description:
1.Net Asset Value (NAV) Calculation:
- Fund accountants are responsible for calculating the Net Asset Value of the fund. NAV represents the fund's per-share market value and is a key indicator of the fund's performance.
2. Transaction Processing:
- Recording and processing various financial transactions, including purchases and sales of securities, income accruals, expenses, and other fund-related activities.
3. Reconciliation:
- Conducting regular reconciliations of the fund's accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
4. Accounting and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for funds and portfolio companies.
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform periodic reconciliations and analysis of financial data.
5. Compliance and Taxation:
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Assist in tax planning, preparation, and reporting activities.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary.
6. Closing Audits:
- Coordinate the year-end audit process for funds and portfolio companies.
- Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors, ensuring a smooth audit experience.
7. Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in investment management and accounting.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to professional growth and skill enhancement.
Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a Chartered Accountant with 4-5 years of experience who embodies our values and can contribute effectively to our team.
Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in investment management, real estate, or related fields.
Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills to interact with global institutional investors and internal stakeholders.
