- As an SAP PP functional consultant this is what you'll typically do to support SAP S/4 Hana upgrades:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate these into detailed functional requirements for SAP PP.
- Assess the impact of upgrading to SAP S/4 HANA on existing business processes and systems.
- Design solutions that align with the organization's processes and SAP S/4 HANA capabilities.
- Configure the SAP system according to the designed solutions, ensuring compatibility with S/4 HANA's enhanced features.
- Evaluate the need for customizations in the S/4 HANA environment and develop them as necessary.
- Ensure seamless integration of the upgraded module with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Plan and execute data migration from the current SAP system to S/4 HANA, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Manage data cleansing, mapping, and validation activities.
- Conduct comprehensive testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance tests) to ensure the upgrade meets business requirements and functions correctly.
- Identify, document, and resolve any issues or defects that arise during testing.
- Develop and deliver training to end-users on new functionalities and changes brought by the S/4 HANA upgrade.
- Provide ongoing support post-implementation, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Assist in change management activities to facilitate a smooth transition to the new system.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure understanding and adoption of the new system.
- Prepare detailed documentation of the solution design, configuration, custom development, and any operational procedures related to the upgrade.
- Maintain records of issues and resolutions for future reference and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of the upgrade project.
- Monitor project progress and report on status to stakeholders.
- Ensure the solution adheres to SAP best practices and compliance standards.
- Stay updated with SAP S/4 HANA developments and industry trends to recommend ongoing improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as an SAP PP functional consultant, ideally with a focus on implementing and upgrading to SAP S/4 HANA
- Experience in end-to-end SAP project lifecycle, from planning and implementation to support.
- Prior experience in data migration projects, especially related to SAP upgrades.
- SAP certification in relevant modules (such as PP) is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of specific SAP PP and their integration with other modules.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA's capabilities and differences from SAP ECC.
- Strong skills in SAP configuration, customization, and problem-solving.
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Competency in designing and optimizing SAP workflows to align with business processes.
- Experience in developing and conducting SAP training for end-users.
- Ability to provide post-implementation support, including troubleshooting and addressing userqueries.
- Experience in change management, ensuring smooth transition during SAP upgrades.
- Ability to manage user expectations and mitigate resistance to change.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance standards in SAP implementations.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest SAP developments and trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Good communication skills (written and verbal), proven team player, rolling up the sleeves and getting involved in the nitty gritty.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in from a top university.
- Able to work within the GMT+8 time zone
