Job Description:

The Position: Area Credit Manager / Credit Manager

Locations - Mumbai

- The candidate will be responsible for underwriting business loan /working capital loan / merchant finance proposal as per the laid down internal policies & procedure and as per banks and NBFCs

- To understand business dynamics, products on offer, various segments to whom we lend, ensuring discipline in adherence to processes involved in credit buying

- Manage the credit processing activities, ensure systematic verification processes and coordinate with verification agencies

- Be up to date on industries we lend and business environment in general, take appropriate credit decision, monitor the portfolio sourced, understand and interpret the portfolio quality

- Interact with sourcing team (acquisition) to finalise final proposal making to clients on a case to basis. Also timely review of new customers

- Make credit decisions within assigned authority

- Initiate process improvement and quality reviews to simplify and improve productivity

- Negotiate documentation and payment terms with customers to ensure transactions are properly secured

- To prepare Credit Appraisal Memo (CAM).

- To coordinate with sales to achieve targets and ensure TAT or SLAs are met.

- To control and contain front-end delinquencies by calling up customer on first presentation.

Education qualification: CA /MBA finance

Preferred Industry experience - Bank / NBFC / Fintech handling credit / underwriting in unsecured/ Merchant financing.

Desired experience: Min 3yrs of relevant underwriting experience in LAP, Business Loan & Working Capital Loan with a good know how of technology adaption in businesses
