Industry Vertical: Measurement & lnstrumentation (M&I)

Job scope:

1. Monitoring global as well as regional markets for the M&I domain, which spans across program areas including - Test & Measurement-, - Semiconductors-, - Sensors & Instrumentation-, - Automatic Identification & Security-, - Electronic Devices- and - Surface Mount Technology- .

2. Authoring market reports, white papers and working on consulting engagements.

3. As a part of the profile, you will collect, analyze and synthesize data on marketing conditions, business opportunities, global trends and market size/share.

4. An important aspect of the role is also to identify industry best practices and benchmark companies based on that.

Key Responsibilities:

- The main focus of this role would be to create, populate and maintain a team-wide market intelligence repository (quantitative and qualitative information) on the M&I Vertical mentioned above.

- This candidate will be a part of the Asia Pacific M&I team but would work in close cooperation with global pool of analysts in the M&I space to understand the team's requirements for information and structure, to do research to populate/update the database with the necessary data points and to maintain the team's overall repository of knowledge.

- The candidate will continuously monitor the M&I space and provide insightful quantitative and strategic analysis to our clients through market reports.

- The role also requires the candidate to develop relationships and conduct interviews with industry experts for the purpose of gathering primary data as well as produce research reports on market dynamics in the relevant industry.

- Generate business for the research area by meeting clients and as far as possible proactively manage their requirements and generate opportunities.

- Contribute directly to confidential custom projects, using specialist industry knowledge and research/strategic analysis skills.

- Progress as a thought leader and represent the company's viewpoint in conferences and various speaking engagements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Adept in information gathering; information processing

- Comfortable in analyzing unstructured data and delivering insights from the same

- Excellent oral & written communication skills in English

- Flair for creative problem solving; logical reasoning; analytical thinking; strategic thinking

- Good grounding in Microsoft Office Suite

- Organized team player with good sense of prioritization of time and multiple tasks

- Energetic self-starter comfortable with ambiguity

- Collaborative team player

- Comfortable to accommodate changes in work timings to suit global client expectations

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelors in Electronics / Instrumentation/ Mechanical Engineering, along with atleast 5-6 years of corporate experience, or

- Masters in any of the above and at least 4-5 years of corporate experience

- Prior experience with measurement and instrumentation companies is highly desirable
