Roles and Responsibilities : As a Product Manager, you will create and own the product roadmap, align it with the business vision, work closely with the customers to understand their requirements, and collaborate with the product development team to execute this roadmap. An ideal candidate should: - Focus on Business value to customer and ensure market acceptance of the product. - Focus more on - why- and - what-, rather than - how-, i.e. show inclination towards the user requirements and acceptance criteria rather than designing the solution. - Build an in-depth understanding of technology behind the product and interface with the development team to successfully execute your Product strategy. - Demonstrate strong understanding of product development process and show ability to make tradeoffs that are crucial for effective prioritization and negotiation of Technical debt. - Define and track metrics that measure the success of your product/features, including adoption and growth. - Prepare detailed reports for management to forecast short term and long term product sales, feature enhancements and customer acceptance. - Earn trust to support tough decisions of prioritization, timeline management and meet customer expectations. - Bridge the communication gap between the engineering teams and rest of the world. Requirements : - Prior experience or strong inclination of working in a start-up. You should be comfortable with ambiguity. - Understanding of what constitutes a compelling Product Value Proposition for large enterprises in the Indian market. - Analytical Skills: Ability to secure and synthesize data/information from multiple sources to identify core issues, proactively and quickly make sense of complex and ambiguous situations, evaluate options against the decision criteria and evolve the action plan. - Business Acumen: Understand and analyze industry/market/competition and internal business strategy, and ensure your product stays relevant and ahead of the curve. - Communication & Influencing Skills: Ability to clearly, succinctly and unambiguously convey ideas to individuals and groups and influence internal/external stakeholders to take actions. - Team Player: A people person and a highly approachable personality. Proven track record of building trust with software development teams and other stakeholders. - Entrepreneurial Approach: Experience with working in an unstructured operating environment. - Other Characteristics: Passion for excellence, detail orientation, innovative thinking, ability to self-motivate, initiate & execute work independently. - Understanding of the Logistics Domain would be an added advantage - Ability to travel 30-50% Preferred Qualifications - B.Tech/B.E. in any stream, MS/MBA from a Tier-1 institute. Passion for technology and tracking developments in tech/logistics industry. - 3-7 years of prior industry experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager in an Enterprise Software/Cloud based SaaS solutions or Internet/Ecommerce platforms.
