What is Sr Business Analyst -MOG responsible for? - He/She would be responsible for project execution and implementation. Job would entail documenting, planning, executing, and taking ownership for successful completion of the project. - Job would require an analytical mind, eye for details and solutions mindset. - Research, recommend and implement workflow efficiencies to continually improve service quality and efficiency of operational business processes. - Actively participate in and lead efforts to expand or strengthen the department's capabilities in a continuous effort to maintain consistent repeatable processes in an effort to mitigate risk for clients and the firm. - Ensure timely and accurate output and ongoing accounts compliance with respective investment guidelines, regulatory guidelines and Fiduciary's internal controls. - He/She will be responsible to oversee various client certifications and investment restrictions. - Suggest process improvements and help in implementing them. Additionally, the position will involve oversight of different forms of data maintenance specific to account status tracking, correspondence filing as well as involvement in the administration of the department's virtual communication and information repository. - Would be required at times to work long hours and on special projects and assignments as needs dictate. - He/ She should be prepared to work on shifts. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Sr Business Analyst? Core Reporting, Data maintenance and Subject Matter Expertise: - Prepare MIS reports for the different Client facing groups of Fiduciary on regular frequent basis - Interpret reports, providing analytical commentary and recommendations for change - Act as business unit liaison with other business units - Research, recommend and implement workflow efficiencies - Research and document complex business issues involving workflow procedures and processes - Gather comprehensive information to be used in problem identification and resolution - Analyze data and provide meaningful MIS reports to internal stakeholders - Create dashboards with insightful and meaningful statistics for different stakeholders - Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams of MOG to implement changes and work with them to fill in process gaps if any - Provide subject matter expertise on assigned systems, reports, and projects - Continually assess whether reports should be continued changed or eliminated. Influence decisions on how reports are utilized - Knowledge on building Interactive dashboards or performing Interactive BI on any of the Visualization tools like Python, Power BI & SharePoint Ad hoc Requests: - Understand and work on different adhocs request team receives - Provide the information on a timely manner - Analyze the request and coordinate with different teams if required to gather the required information to complete the adhoc request - Track, assign and prioritize the requests - Analyze and identify the requests. Schedule recurring and routine request as per the requirement Research, recommend and implement workflow efficiencies: - Research and document medium business issues involving workflow, data, database items, procedures, and processes. Work with other areas within organization. - Gather comprehensive information to be used in problem identification and resolution. Work with senior members within the organization - Analyze data and develop creative solutions. Ability to provide ongoing updates via written and verbal communications - Coordinate recommended process changes and enhancements including test plans to ensure successful implementation - Discuss proposed system enhancements and modifications with related teams - Provide post-implementation support for all approved deliverables Utilize, assess, and maintain BI Environment - Build, deploy and maintain effective reports to support Lines of Business using business intelligence tools such as Power Bi. Python Etc. - Design and deploy reports and reporting structure to support trained business users as well as non-technical users - Maintain a good understanding of how data flows into and out of BI tools (end to end process) ; engage in conversations with technology, management and respective team on roadblocks, workarounds and enhancement requests - Maintain excellent understanding of 3rd party files and respective data - Recommend and implement changes with respect to new enhancements - Assess current capability of existing DataMart and BI tools. Recommend and as much as possible implement changes as necessary - Partner with technology (FTT) and ensure alignment with business vision is achieved Communication/Training - Provide regular updates to team and senior management via e-mail, presentations, and conference calls - Maintains continuous, open, and consistent communication with others - Tailors' communication (e.g., content, style and medium) to diverse audiences - Communicates complex issues (verbally and via e-mail) clearly and credibly with widely varied audiences. - Prepare workflows, procedures, and processes for all our reports/ tasks - Prepare training plan and provide training to new team members and to old team members based on need - Analyze the training needs for self and for team if any and communicate and work with the management What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful? - Inter CA, Master's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Previous experience in dynamic data maintenance, storage and distribution environment would be an added advantage - 5-7 years of related experience - Financial Services experience preferred especially in Wealth Management, broking or Mutual Fund industry - Good knowledge of business desktop applications (i.e.: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Project, Windows, Visio, etc.) required - Word: Mail Merge, Index and Tables - Excel: Formulas, Functions, Pivot Tables, & Graphs - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong attention to details - Look to providing solutions - Ability to adhere/respond to established time frames and schedules - Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team environment - Ability to work under pressure - Ability to maintain updated knowledge of procedures, products and activities of assigned area - Ability to work independently - Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines Work Timings: 02:00PM - 11:00PM What makes Franklin Templeton Investments unique?
