Collaborates with cross-functional leadership in the business and technology to plan for and manage short to mid-term objectives, and provides input into strategy for department. Manages initiatives or defines performance metrics for a service, solution or product. Acts as a technical and/or service delivery role model.  JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  1. Scope of Day-to-Day Management (People, Impact & Accountability): Manages processes and activities through subordinate leaders and professionals to achieve expected service, solution or product outcomes for team and/or department of accountability  - Provides input to strategy/roadmap for department, leveraging their business domain knowledge and expertise  - Collaborates with cross-functional leadership to plan for and manage short to mid-term objectives  - Negotiates and facilitates to ensure necessary resources are in place in order to deliver on team or department objectives  2. Product, Operational Management and Service Delivery: Leverages breadth and depth of knowledge to make recommendations to products and services with respect to issues, opportunities and improvements, focusing on effective solutions  - Provides alternatives to achieve operational and business objectives while managing risk  - Develops and enhances operating standards and procedures for delivery of products and services/solutions as needs evolve  - Manages initiatives or defines performance metrics for specific, specific services/solutions and products; monitors metrics and provides feedback and advice to subordinate managers to drive improvements  - Ensures stability and capability of specific services/solutions and products  3. Relationship Management/Partnering: Participates in the definition and management of internal and external business relationships  - Identifies and addresses business challenges, and defines and delivers solutions that add business value  4. Technical Expertise/Leadership: Develops knowledge of industry trends and business needs to drive technology innovation and execution  - Acts as a technical and/or service delivery role model, as well as a leadership role model, for department  - Communicates technology concepts and value in business terms to create understanding amongst technology and business stakeholders  5. Talent Management: Makes hiring and termination decisions and leads mid-level (internal and external) individual contributors and leaders  - Coaches and develops talent to meet and/or exceed performance expectations  - Motivates and engages individuals and team (both within team and across departments)  - Makes pay decisions within established guidelines and budgets at point of hire; recommends promotion and pay increases  - May suggest structural team/staffing changes as needs evolve  6. Financial Management: Develops and manages budget within a department, working closely with senior leadership to ensure business goals are met within established financial targets  - Participates in cost/benefit analysis  REQUIREMENTS:  - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Required)  - Master's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)  - Requires thorough business management knowledge to implement processes, products, or services, and technical expertise to apply functional/process knowledge to diverse issues.   - Overall 15+years of IT experience  - Typically requires the equivalent of 4+ years management experience either directly managing employees or playing senior role in a project management setting  - Collaborating internally with peers leading all aspects of our digital strategy  - Software design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of new technologies, and software development.  - Experience with latest generation development frameworks: Angular, React, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Apigee  - Experience with Agile software development techniques and Hands on experience running agile software development teams   - Experience with managing vendor and consulting partners  - Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services  - Collaborating with the core development team and the product owners to define and estimate business requirements and translate them into specific software tasks  - Strong ability to mentor, coach, review, and grow technical teams and talent  We rely on attracting and retaining employees of exceptional quality.
