Job Description - Key member in India Operations organization, working closely with the Global category manager, business and business solution organization and the supplier groups of the company in a multi-cultural environment. It's a fast-paced role.

Client Details

Our client is a global leader in the creation of fragrances with a turnover of over a billion. Their India operations have a turnover of 600 cr. with 4 units operational in the West India. They are coming up with a Greenfield site in South India to match the annual demand hike of 15-20% for their fragrances business. Poised for exceptional growth through the new facility, they are looking to hire a Fragrance Purchase Manager.

Description

Reporting to the Operations Head for Fragrances, the incumbent will be responsible for:

- Define and implement procurement strategies and related tactical plans to source the fragrance raw materials and ensure service for Operations in line with the business plan. Operates under guidance but with significant autonomy.


- Drive and execute 2020 Procurement strategy of cost and cash, risk, responsible sourcing and innovation within your assigned category

- Negotiate contracts locally with suppliers and ensure adequate contract cover within their portfolio within the value of spend specified by the appropriate Regional Manager. Identify opportunities for optimization and actively involve Supply Chain and Operations organization.


- Manage and own supplier performance where necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply according to Supply Planning Requirements.


- Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to the responsible sourcing team when needed.


- Build and maintain stakeholder relations


- Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Global Category Managers any market conditions changes which may affect the Business


- Identify potential demand changes and communicate/influence business stakeholders to drive cost improvements.


Profile

7-10 years in procurement and experience of purchase of Aroma raw materials will be preferred. University/Engineering Degree in disciplines of Chemistry/Chemical Engineering along with excellent negotiation, influencing & communication skills (verbal/written) is a must for the role.
