Position & Designation The Business Manager - Forge. Academy to be designated in Forge at the grade of Manager or Sr.Manager, shall be considered for a promotion to the role of Business Head, Forge. Academy at the grade of Sr. Manager or AVP respectively, after having delivered a commendable performance in the stated role for a minimum tenure of 24 months. Compensation : Forge compensation is at par with the top end of the social enterprises sector in India and continuously benchmarked to be above the average compensation offered in the social (non-commercial or development) sector in general but significantly above the average compensation offered by TBIs in general in India. The Total CTC will include 3 major components namely, Fixed Monthly Gross, Annual Development Bonus (linked to demonstration of progress on developing and strengthening capabilities in alignment with the Career Advancement and Capabilities Development framework of Forge), and Quarterly/Annual Executive Bonus (linked to a predetermined share of the financial indicators/results of the company including grant-in-aid funds, revenues, and/or operating profits, as may be determined on a case- to-case basis). Role & Responsibilities - Key Result Areas Business Planning & Revenue/P&L Management - Develop detailed business plans for the Forge. Academy vertical for 3-5 year planning horizon covering operating budgets, revenue projections, fundraising projections, and P&L estimates, by supporting the GM/Head, Forge. Academy and facilitate review and approval by the CEO and CFO - Develop monthly and quarterly operating plans/projections to facilitate the GM/Head, Forge. Academy in managing overall operations in tighter alignment to projections of revenues, operating costs, P&L, and cash flows, facilitating periodic reporting to and reviews by CEO/CFO Revenue Generation & Business Development - Support role to the GM/Head, Forge. Academy in actively prospecting seeding and nurturing opportunities for commercialising the best practices/capabilities in Forge as knowledge products developed, standardised and monetised under Forge. Academy - Responsible for end-to-end deal sourcing activities all the way from prospecting leads to signing of MOUs and execution of client engagement agreements, including end-to-end process of documentation, submission, and presentation of proposals on behalf of the GM/Head, Forge. Academy and also of the company's CEO as the delegated authority and authorised representative - Efficiently manage execution of several initiatives for scaling revenue generation from the various beneficiaries of Forge. Academy viz. Industrial Companies (Corporates & MSMEs), Academia, Industry Professionals, Startups etc - Support the GM/Head, Forge. Academy in driving fundraising initiatives for sourcing funds for program implementation through grants from Government schemes, CSR Funds etc. through constantly seeking out and pursuing opportunities with Govt. of India, Govt of Tamil Nadu, Top Corporates, Industry Associations etc. - Directly responsible for all commercial aspects relating to the payment/collection of fees from various beneficiaries Alliances & Partnerships - Develop long-term partnerships with top Academic Institutions across India to pave the way for implementation of strategic initiatives under the Forge. Academy umbrella, offering multiple programs simultaneously and generating a minimum revenue of Rs.100L per annum from each Partner Institution - Responsible for managing seamless and direct one-to-one engagement with all the key stakeholders within the top academia clients/partners of Forge. Academy through appropriate communications, initiatives, and other measures required - Nurture and scale long-term partnerships with knowledge and capability partners to deliver programs & services that can seed revenue streams under the Forge. Academy vertical relevant to the vision of the organisation Product Marketing - Events, MarCom, Ecosystem Connect - Scale the implementation footprint of Forge. Academy to emerge as the numero uno skills & competencies development platform offering programs for students, researchers, educators, industry professionals, innovators & startup founders in areas of innovation, entrepreneurship & venture development - Manage the broadest scope of marketing communications, including outcomes and deliverables in the planning and implementation of product positioning, branding, communication campaigns, digital/social media marketing, demand generation and Sales/BD enablement etc. to rapidly scale up the commercial success of various programs/initiatives launched by Forge. Academy. - Manage the effective planning and implementation of events, conferences, ecosystem meetups, and other forms of physical, digital or hybrid events required to strengthen the connectivity within the respective ecosystems for each of the program individually and at the aggregate level required to make Forge. Academy a pivotal player in India's innovation and venture ecosystems - Gain wider recognition among India's innovation & startup ecosystem as a Practice Leader and Ecosystem Influencer in creating national scale platforms and programs for scaling open innovation, startup accelerator, and strategic ventures in the academic, corporate and government sector
