Region HSEQA Manufacturing Manager, SSAMESA A Sr. region HSEQ manager leads teams within the geo-region, typical teams of manager, supervisor, and advisor. Responsibilities typically include ownership of short to mid-term performance roadmaps (1 to 3 years), execution of HSEQ and leading the daily operational challenges in the manufacturing, assembling and warehouses. Challenges are often complex and require analysis and investigation of how HSEQ can become an integrated part of the daily manufacturing and lean operations, securing operational excellence in both. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches and with the ability to communicate and influence executive leadership Overall focus areas: - Lead and develop on-site HSEQ manager in the region of Manufacturing units. - Ensure global performance programs are implemented within the region, evaluate yearly performance and propose improvements - In cooperation with Head of HSEQ Manufacturing and region plant management, follow up and provide status on HSEQ investment projects - Ensure compliance to FLSmidth minimum requirements, international, regional and local legislation and best practices - Secure streamlined training across region of workforce i.e emergency, onboarding and culture developing programs are conducted - Participate in and conduct region audits, safety walks, inspections and maintain region management review of performance within the region - Perform overall analysis and investigation of hazard risks, incidents, near miss and HSE observations ensuring accurate reporting, mitigation activities are implemented - Validate data accuracy in systems and ensure timely reporting, contribute to quarterly/annual reports - Ensure HSEQ are incorporated as part of the daily manufacturing operations i.e. lean manufacturing, collect performance and provide guidance on performance Other personal competences - Technical/engineering background as HSEQ manager combined with a Diploma in leadership - Experience from similar position in bigger international companies (Manufacturing industry) - Min. 15 years/training - preferable worked as leader for a Region HSEQ-team - Insight and understanding for local and international legislation - Insight in ISOS standards as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 - Good communication skills (spoken, reports, presentations) - Team player, focus on key stakeholder and Process driven with result as mindset, can show documented results of performance, management of change - Self-driven, execution orientated and able to build strong relationship across business functions - Leadership experience, experience in building/developing teams and create followship - Business organizational understanding FLSmidth is the leading supplier of engineering, equipment and service solutions to customers in the mining and cement industries - for more information please visit FLSmidth.com/careers
