Designation: Assistant General Manager - Human Resources

Location: Mumbai

Hiring Scope of Business Leaders:

- The Business Leader role is paramount to Flipspaces success during the sharp growth phase it is currently in. This individual will act as the complete owner of their domain.

- The individual will work as a core member and will be accountable for crafting the growth roadmap of the organisation along with owing the responsibility of building the organisational culture as well.

Key Responsibility Areas:

- Leads and oversees entire gamut of HR and administrative activities

- Team Management, stakeholder management, strategy management at the ground level, etc.

- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

- Effectively plan, design, develop and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals

- HR functions, including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management HR information systems (HRIS) and financial planning of the department

- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues

- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital

- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.

- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

- Developing company wellbeing, health and counselling policies

- Leading the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture

- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs

- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

- Direct the development and implementation of organizational development programs, employee orientation and training programs, benefits plans, policies and guidelines, equal opportunity employment programs and employee records and documentation policies.

Skills & Competencies:

- Organizational skills - personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands are key

- Emotional Intelligence - Managing diverse personalities and viewpoints. Consequently, emotional intelligence, the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others is vital

- Commercial acumen - you will be increasingly involved in strategic decision-making within the business as an influencer. Being able to understand company finances, resourcing and the ultimate aims of the business is important

- Role modelling - As a senior member of the executive team, youare expected to demonstrate the values, initiatives and culture of the organisation

- Professional expertise - A strong working knowledge of employment law issues, best practice processes for disciplinaries, redundancies and payroll is required, as well as experience of employee relations

- Coaching and mentoring - Whether senior executives, junior colleagues or middle management, you will be proficient in developing skills in your talent

- Trust - As a member of the executive team, you will interface with the leadership team on a regular basis. You will become a trusted confidante on talent issues, unafraid of giving your opinions and expertise

Qualification Criteria :

- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields

- Previous experience working with a start-up and fast paced organization

- Preferred from Tier-1 B Schools

- In-depth knowledge about local and international Human Resource Processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations

- Understanding and experience with Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing strategies

- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of HR management

- Handled employee strength of 300 + Employees

- Handled Recruitments in a start-up environment

- Experience with HR tools and recruiting software

- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success

- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

- Team player

- Good time-management skills

- Great interpersonal and communication skills

- Supervisory experience
