About the role :

A large part of Flipkart's growth as far as categories are concerned is through the management and development of Key accounts. Ever since Flipkart's migration to a marketplace model, there has been a keen focus on the development of key accounts for the growth of respective categories. Key accounts for a category can include large brands or large vendors who deal with products from a particular line. The incumbent will be given sole responsibility of a number of key accounts, and will thereby be expected to grow the category as far as key accounts are concerned.

Flipkart's first online grocery supermarket, in a store-in-store format. Currently launched in 5 cities - Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi-NCR & Mumbai. Wide assortment of household products made available online at high quality and freshness standards; at best prices. What you'll do :

- Achievement of organizational targets (KPI) of Sales, Margins, inventory, Supply chain for Commodity.

- To understand member's requirements and execute product strategies to deliver financial targets. Build cost-effective, sustainable and scalable supply chains and items for differentiation, volume growth and Quality.

- Focus on developing leadership in Commodity through good merchandising practices,

- Sourcing practices and building vendor base national and regional vendors in coordination with Stores as demanded by members.

- Risk management of the category keeping constant watch on the markets and respond effectively through buying (Market trends) and merchandising (Category Mix).

1. Sales & Margin - Achievement of KPIs - Sales, margins, Dump & Shrink, DOH , Inventory turns in coordination with Operations.

- Buying as per MOP

- Rotation and replenishment of stocks

- Coordination with store on daily basis for price and stocks

- Correction of prices as per MOP / COMP

- Driving category/ Sub Cat- Flours, Pulses, spices, Ready-mixes, Ghee & Olive Oil for higher margin

- Seasonality planning / Event planning for high sales and margin

2. Establish Supply Chain with required compliance fulfilment

- Map vendors for Just in Time deliveries.

- Correction of supply chain basis club feedback

- Supply chain arrangements @ stores with the competitive supply locations / price comparison before buying

- Preparation of market report / trends of major sales items

- Comp items price correction & change in buying locations

3. Vendor build up and their business growth following company policies

- Identification and creation of wider vendor base in high volume items

- Regular touch up with vendor / supplier partner for better price recovery

- Regular feedback on quality and price

- Half yearly review with top 10 supplier partner / closure of TOT

- Stand by vendor @ origin locations to avoid any supply / price / quality issue
