About the role: - This role exists to Fulfil operational requirements by scheduling, Engaging and assigning employees to perform day to day activities. Will be responsible for implementing lean and six sigma principles in large DC to improve on Cost, Quality and Speed. - Execution of operational excellence strategy that will improve business performance. Drive a Culture of Innovative and disruptive thinking to change the way business operates now to what we see in next 3 years. - The role requires knowledge of business analytics, continuous improvement tools and other soft skills of negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management to deliver cost, speed, reliability and customer experience. About the team: The team works towards fulfiling customer orders with best processes and lowest cost, driving Process Excellence across Flipkart business units driving cost, speed, reliability and customer experience. What you'll do: - Fulfilment of operational requirements by scheduling, Engaging and assigning employees. - Maintain team results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees. - Streamlining operations with the available resource. - Innovating and Continuous improvement on an existing process to reduce on the operating cost at the same time increasing speed of delivery. Implementing the good practices pan India to have same results delivered across the network. - Well convergent with ERP and WMS system. - Demonstrated abilities in leading & motivating large teams. - Project management Handling End to end warehouse operations, MIS, Team handling, 3PL team - Drive productivity improvements in operating processes through structural interventions using process excellence methodologies. - Drive business critical projects through application of knowledge, establishing stakeholder connect. - Collaborate with various functions to drive business projects - Drive automation and digitization initiatives. - Provide frequent trainings on lean principles to operational personnel to generate more ideas from the team - Strong of Data Driven Decision and Analysis Inferences What you'll need: - 6-10 years of experience with Shop floor/Warehouse handling with minimum of 300 + Onroles and off roles working in a world-class organization - Lean Six Sigma Green belt Competency and Provision - Operation Research concepts experience and exposure - Fluent in Lean fundamentals: (e.g.) Lean Principles, Lean Leadership, Lean Tools, Kaizen - Experience in deployment of lean tools like VSM, RCA , JIT (Just in Time) , Poka Yoke etc - Experience in manufacturing, ecommerce, retail and/or consultancy will be preferred Skills and Competencies: - Strong knowledge of lean tools and principles - Hands on experience in driving and implementing lean - Structured problem-solving skills - Six sigma GB certification - Mentor Lean yellow belt projects for successful and timely completion - Ability to work as a team to different stakeholders - Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders - Act as mentor and coach to operations team to engage them in continuous improvement activities - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Ability to create flow through entire value stream using cross-functional collaboration - Conducting Gemba frequently to understand and solve problems at root - Practices and teaches fundamental problem solving (PDCA) to identify problems, define, fix and avoid them from reverting back - Supports and leverages process for best practice sharing - Strong in operating Powerpoint and Excel Educational Qualification: - Post-Graduate preferably with an Engineering and or MBA from reputed institutes coupled with a minimum 6-10+ years of total experience - The incumbent must have a proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives including experience implementing Lean from concept to full scale implementation. - Effective facilitator and communication through encouragement, motivation and inspirational skills at all levels of the organization
