Job Description :
Position : Manager - Quality First Mile (SCM)
Reports To : Associate Director - Quality First Mile (SCM)
Role Summary :
The Manager - Quality First Mile (SCM) would be responsible for executing strategic quality initiatives within a zone to improve customer satisfaction (internal and external) and thereby help driving growth and reduce cost of supply chain operations
Responsibilities :
- Establish culture to promote awareness of Critical to Quality issues and Customer Escalations across all departments and lead deployment of effective corrective measures
- Deploy Quality Assurance processes in multiple locations and ensure Process Standardization
- Develop systems to monitor and measure performance against defined benchmarks
- Identify opportunities and drive focused improvement initiatives to enhance Customer Satisfaction, Performance of Internal Operations and People
- Supplier Quality Management including Supplier Technical Support for Quality improvement and audit adherence of defined processes.
- Lead the Zonal Quality team to deliver results against targets. Manpower planning, Resource management, PMS and Succession Planning
Desired Candidate Profile :
- B.E./B.Tech (preferably in Mechanical/Production); Post Graduation not mandatory.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in applying Quality Management principles in either Manufacturing / Service/ Supply Chain or Distribution verticals.
- Dynamic and self-driven who loves to interact with people, team player and quick learner
- Well versed with basic concepts, tools and applications of Lean - Six Sigma and MIS
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with project experience will be added advantage
- Certified Lead Auditor for Management Systems will be added advantage
Key Skills Required :
- Ability to challenge and motivate executives within team and within organization to deliver the desired results by taking everyone along
- Ability to Influence and get Buy-In from Operations Management for driving Quality initiatives
-Ability to conduct training programs for junior executives
- Proven track record of handling Quality Functions, Program Quality, Purchasing or Customer Quality Management through deploying Lean-Six Sigma, Statistical Tools, FMEA, Control Plans etc.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills; should be able to present facts, analysis, and conclusions or solutions in a way that demonstrates command of subject matter
- Exposure to vendor / supplier management will be added advantage
