Should have experience in Furniture category

Role Summary :

Business strategy :

- Business Model understanding

- Know the market

- Know suppliers

- Know the competition

Vendor network management & operations :

- Lead a vendor-relations team to identify strategic partners, negotiate better terms of trade and deals

- Work with suppliers/sellers to constantly improving the portfolio portfolio

- Create a comprehensive Vendor management strategy and governance framework

People Leadership :

- Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions

- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals

- Hire & build a team of specialist/experts to drive aggressive & efficient buying

Desired Competencies :

- Experience of managing sourcing or category management experience with key furniture retailers.

- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion

- Willing to take calculated risks to grow the portfolio

- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels

- Strong bias for Action lot of action required as it's an upcoming category.
