About the Team Jeeves-F1 is the services company for the Flipkart group and powers all post-sales experience touch-points for Flipkart customers. It is one of the largest service organizations in India with capabilities across Home Appliances, Electronics, Mobiles , Furniture and Recommerce categories in 17K+ pincodes and has brand partnerships with some of the marquee brands in above categories. The organization is scaling fast to become the service differentiator for Flipkart & brands through innovative service models like service marketplace, online customer specific service products & deepening service-product integration with OEMs/brands. About the role The role is Head of Procurement charter in Jeeves-F1, the services company of Flipkart. This is a pivotal role in devising & executing the E2E Procurement & supplier management charter for the services business of Flipkart. She / He would be responsible for overseeing procurement for direct & indirect materials incl. spares, capex- Infra ,overheads to maintain optimum service levels, inventory levels & minimum cost and create a strong and compliant supplier base to ensure long-term supply security. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy - Assess enterprise requirements from supply & service categories perspective proactively - Identify and resolve challenges in key materials sourcing through market making/shaping activities, long-term contracting, risk mitigation measures etc. (e.g. alternate source development) - Develop and support the process of empanelling new vendors based on their capability, process orientation and infrastructure alongside the commercial consideration - Ensure spend management within specified budgeted costs as well as oversee implementation of cost containment strategies - Secure long term contracting & supply security for key categories such as Spares - Optimal Fulfillment & Supplier Management - The role is responsible for managing the complete sourcing and contracting life cycle for all categories of procurement (Spares, Non Spares, Consumables, Others) by engaging with Internal operations, Vendors & Local market. - Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance . - Creating a very strong panel of Local suppliers at Regional / State level . - Develop an alternate solution model for solving the services / repairs needs in Durables , Mobiles , Furniture and Electronics space . - Driving innovative agreements with suppliers on JIT / Distributed dispatches ect which would reduce the cost of inventory holding for the organization . - Ensure strong governance - Statutory & Regulatory risk management, support audits, management reporting, and independent Stakeholder / Supplier / Client management. - Ensure and control supply quality as per internal customer requirements. Execute the customer feedback received from the internal and external stakeholders on customer satisfaction - Collaborate with internal customers & external suppliers to bring about transformational projects serving customer requirements like Repairs, Refurbishment, On Demand etc - Evaluate the savings possibility areas and recommend/approve savings strategy plan for all categories - Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on supply. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost. Team Management: - Leader is expected to coach, mentor & groom team members; In addition, she/he is expected to be a role model for cross-functional teams as many of the projects will be delivered in collaboration with partner teams. Mandatory Skills: Functional Skills : - Negotiation and sales techniques - Procurement management tools and solutions on the market (e-procurement, e-sourcing , local procurement etc.) - Know how on industry sector, procurement ecosystem & essential legal knowledge & Procurement Standards - Stakeholder Management: The role provides opportunity to work across teams within Flipkart as well as external supplier network - Strategic Formulation: Strategic thinking is key for this role; The leaders needs to think strategically & groom the same in teams & other leaders - Execution excellence- Bias for action, taking stretch goals & accountability are critical esp. go to market fulfillment & scaling them\ What you'll need: - Educational background -BE / MBA from the top institute, 12+ years of experience. - Strong understanding of procurement principles, In-depth knowledge of sourcing, cost & ROI management and pricing methodology. - Knowledge of Internet, Retail, the consumer goods industry is a plus - Desire and ability to think like the customer - Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion - Highly analytical and detail-oriented. - Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills - Ability to connect with people across teams & levels - Strong bias for Action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pace
