Primary Skills:

Accounting - Qualified Chartered Accountant with 7-10 years of experience

- The incumbent is responsible for all strategic as well as operational affairs of GL consolidation vertical

- Strong work experience in IFRS & Financial Reporting. Knowledge on Financial Accounting advisory, deal advisory and Mergers and Acquisition accounting.

Role Purpose:

The GL Consolidation Head is part of the Controllership team committed to be world class accounting trusted advisors. This position supports all aspects of the statutory close process, helps drive process improvement and
accuracy of financial reporting and ensures the integrity of our balance sheet. A successful candidate is a person with strong technical accounting IFRS, SOX, US Gaap, SEC, collaboration and project management skills.

- The role requires the ability to understand the big picture as well as have an outstanding attention to the underlying details.

Key attributes :

Tier 3 Accounting skills:

- Responsible for preparation of Financial Statements of the group companies

- Lead Statutory Audits

- Ensure IFRS compliance as per Accounting Guidelines circulated by GL

- Prepare company for IPO

- Averse with SEC environment

- Support IFC process and control reviews

- Support Legal- Dept- demand requirements

- Lead Investments & M&A accounting

- Analytical reviews of P&L

Lead role to support:

- Strategies the GL Consol vertical towards reporting of true & accurate financials.

- Liaise & solve problems with Business & operations

- Ensure high level of control exists

- Strong technical expertise on IFRS matters

- Constantly drive for process improvement and harmonization:-

- Leverage best practice from other industries processes to drive improvements on financial reporting both an efficiency and effectiveness perspective

Support changes and Evolution:

- Adapt delivery to keep pace with changes

- Develop and enhance local reporting and analysis to meet ongoing business requirements

- Support Internal Audit review s and own Improvement Opportunities as appropriate

Cost centers, COA, Material Categories:

- Lead team towards maintaining relevant master data sets, eg GL and Cost/Profit Centre,COA and ensure

- Correct & timely reporting of the same.

- Ensure SOD is complied with

Role accountabilities (Statutory- - Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, IFC controls)

- Month end closure process

- Perform monthly review and identify key risks and opportunities.

- Consolidation of Books & Intercompany

- Inventory & Fixed Assets accounting & reporting as IGAAP & IFRS

- Ensure IFC controls are maintained, including formal annual sign-off.

- Issue guidelines for accounting

Reporting

- Provision of value add insight regarding the reported and underlying performance of the business.

- Accountable for the delivery of any monthly reporting suites.

- Liaison with commercial accountants and the Business/Markets to relay in period & YTD financial performance.

- Review monthly results.

Relationship Management

- Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders, own and proactively manage key relationships with partners.

- Manage the day to day relationship with the key stakeholders.

- Ensure all deadlines are adhered to.

Benchmarking

- Promote continuous process improvement culture.

- Identify and drive key process improvements within own team and across wider functions.

- Deliver to agreed project deadlines including appropriate level of planning/integration.
