About the role

A large part of Flipkart's growth as far as categories are concerned is through the management and development of Key accounts. Ever since Flipkart's migration to a marketplace model, there has been a keen focus on the development of key accounts for the growth of respective categories. Key accounts for a category can include large brands or large vendors who deal with products from a particular line. The incumbent will be given sole responsibility of a number of key accounts, and will thereby be expected to grow the category as far as key accounts is concerned. In category marketing, you'd own the key category metrics of Gross Merchandising Value (GMV), Orders per day (OPD) and Average Order Value (AOV). An ideal candidate would be passionate about consumer internet and excited about the online retail ecosystem in India.

What you'll do:

- In charge of the Go To Market for launches in category. Launches are the oxygen of this categor and any product's success is determined by its Launch.

- This role involves working closely with the marketing communications team to develop the assets for all the relevant communication mediums for mobile launches, sustenance campaigns and for category related campaigns.

- Responsible for bringing new customers to Flipkart as per the requirement thru the year - Planning and developing effective marketing communication campaigns for category growth, new launches and sustenance.

- Understanding the Whys behind the sales of different brands and price segments - and build on the same to give the right messaging on all touch points customized by brand models.

- Content Ideation/Creation to drive engagement on the category and on specific brands through Flipkart Own Media and other FK customer touch points a. Working with in-house/ external designers to produce materials of visual impact and within brand guidelines. b.Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the assets prepared for social and digital.

- Marketing Analytics: a.Understanding of how digital marketing domains work for category and prepare the roadmap for Digital marketing for the category basis that Generating reports for digital marketing campaigns using data based analytics tools and also presenting this data in an easy to understand format.

What you'll need:

- Understanding of different media vehicles, experience of working with agencies will help

- Project management/organisational skills.

- Ability to use spreadsheets to analyse data and spot trends.

- Understanding of customer segmentation.

- Educational background - Graduation, MBA with 10+ years of experience

- Knowledge of Retail, consumer goods industry is a plus

- Desire and ability to think like the customer

- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion

- Highly analytical

- Willing to take calculated risks to grow the category

- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of technology and business

- Must be willing to learn

- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels

- Strong bias for Action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pac
