About the Role : Flipkart is hiring for a critical New Business Initiative i.e. Flipkart wholesale. This requirement is for the founding team. Any one who joins now will get to be part of starting something big from scratch and turning it into reality What you'll do : You will be playing a critical role of understanding business plans and tying it with consumer objectives. Thorough understanding of offer construct designing, on-site merchandising, marketing channel play is needed. Customer understanding : - Be the voice of the customer internally - Understand needs - even those that the customers themselves may not realize - Stay on top of changing trends and strategic priorities through in-depth data analysis to predict customer behavior Pricing - Develop the right pricing policy - identify opportunities for giving customers value through intelligent and limited discounting - Use discounting to drive portfolio mix and achieve strategic goals Merchandising : - Develop and execute plans to showcase the right products - Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities - Own the customer experience in the category - make navigation, discovery easier. Save the customer time - Identify the parameters customers use to make decisions and ensure catalog richness Marketing : - Work with marketing to identify the best RoI initiatives to build awareness and encourage trial across channels - SEM, SEO, TV Commercials, etc. - Understand SEM, SEO and E-mail marketing - identify the right keywords, reduce SEM costs while increasing conversions of website visits to orders - Scale Platform Experience - Make Flipkart - a destination by habit- for the customers through the best online shopping experience to discover the largest and trendy assortment of products. - Own experience for category specific events and campaigns - innovate and execute high engagement topical events What you'll need : - Experience in e-commerce sell/ merchandising side a must - Very strong bias to action - Over indexed on analytical side of business - Planning comprehensive roadmaps to achieve shared goals. - Strong communication and influencing skills - Academics from Tier 1/2 -&gt; Engineering &amp; B Schools is preferred General Expectations from the role : - Willing to take calculated risks to grow the category&nbsp; - Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills - Strong understanding of technology and business - Fungible &amp; adaptable around the new age technology and marketing strategies - Strategic and intuitive thinking - Must have exhibited instances of an enabler and not just coordinator - Understanding of customer segmentation, ability to apply data based analytical approach to customer engagement and experience is preferred
