Finintel - Associate - Credit & Risk Underwriter - Banking Loan

Responsibilities :

- Manage pan India for secured/ unsecured loans for SMEs/MSMEs/ mid corporates/ small size financial institutions/ NBFCs.

- Involve in Policy and Process development and implementation.

- Manage process for Credit Approvals, Controls and Risk management.

- Monitor credit quality of the accounts in the portfolio.

- Liaise with clients, externals and internal teams ask subject experts for risk and credit.

- Focus on leakages and critical controls pertaining to risk and credit systems.

- Should be involved in technology development in terms of decision automation.

- Evaluate Loan applications within defined guidelines and accordingly take decision or recommend for approval to higher authorities

- Underwriting cases with desired level of quality and enabling achievement of Business target by proper training

- Use performance history along with liquidity, debt/asset management and profitability ratios to assess creditworthiness in evaluation

- Analyze the NPA trend like area, industry, sector etc.

- Interact with Customers & understand the business and regularly monitor delinquencies

- End to end process ownership. This requires understanding and ensuring delivery as per defined SLA's.

- Develop and maintain detailed MIS to track the effectiveness and SLAs of the team.

- Have regular calls with the clients and advise them of any optimization opportunities.

- You will be the key point of contact for the clients and will also take ownership of onboarding of any new sub process from the client.

Basic Qualifications :

- 3 Years Plus work experience related to credit assessment and underwriting and/or commercial lending

- Expertise in reviewing audited and unaudited financial documents of companies of different sizes (small, medium, and large listed and unlisted corporations)

- Solid understanding of 'off balance sheet items' and how they should be treated to evaluate the credit risk of the customers.

- Ability to deal with a great degree of ambiguity (startup atmosphere)

- Flexibility in being able to adapt to new technologies

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge and belief in adhering to a strong growth culture

Preferred Qualifications :

- Masters or any post graduate qualification highly desirable. Bachelors in related field like accounting, economics, business management, statistics, etc

- Proficient in MS Office, Advance level knowledge of Excel
