Financial Software & Systems - Project Lead/Assistant Project Manager - Java

Position Title : Project Lead or APM [Java]

Years of Experience : 8 to 12 Years

Job Description/Role/Responsibilities :

- Project Lead will be responsible for providing technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation.

- Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.

- Reviews work of development team. Should have lead team of 5 to 10 people

- Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.

- Must have handled projects in Core Java/ J2EE / JSP, Servlets, JavaScript/JQuery, XML, CSS, AJAX & Struts/Spring frameworks

- Must have good analysis or problem solving skills

- Must have good communication skills. Facilitates team and client meetings effectively. Holds regular status meetings with development team.

- Manages client interaction and expectations regarding development efforts.

- Must be willing to work late hours/weekends for critical deliveries

- Should have knowledge of RDBMS and use of SQL

- Should be able to communicate and enforce standard coding practices/ guidelines, experience in Code Reviews [manual or using automated tools], Unit Testing Tool - JUNIT, Configuration Management Tool and Release Management/ Deployment

- Should be aware of SDLC, Design Patterns

- Should be proficient in creating technical documentation e.g. UML, HLD, LLD, SRS, etc.

- Should be able to independently manage development tasks without supervision, including software designing, programming and testing within a Test-Driven Development process

- Keeps project manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager.

- Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

- Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project.

- Should have worked on Payments Domain specifically on Reconciliation Suits.

Additional Advantage :

- Knowledge of Web-Services/SOAP/REST

- Knowledge of PL/SQL

- Knowledge of OWASP/ PADSS, Secure Coding standards / tools

- Java Performance Monitoring Tools

- Should have worked on reconciliation projects
