Technology & Operations Head / CTO

Objective :

- Direct and manage internal information technology strategic plans, policies, programs for business to accomplish corporate goals and objectives

- Provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the company-wide information technology (IT) infrastructure, FSSNeT (Ops & Projects), compliance and risk practices & align it with business priorities

Roles And Responsibilities :

Strategy :

- Develop strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure that the hardware and software capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company's growth and objectives

- Lead in planning and implementing enterprise information systems and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations and delivery of Ops and projects

- Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives

- Develop and maintain corporate policies and standards aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation and operation of IT systems

- Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems

- Managing and monitoring Tech Infra financial budget (capital and operational) for the organization

- Ensuring continuous IT services delivery by way of SLAs, regular reviews etc

- Ensure adherence / achievement of targets - cost and operational by effectively following SLA's. Set up internal/ external escalation mechanism and closure of issues

- Bring in efficiency in IT Operations through automation and implementation of standards like ITIL

- Ability to influence the management and other stakeholders to drive innovation across the organization

- Keep current with the trends and changes in the technology space.

- Responsible for overall Business Continuity Planning (BCP) of the organization from IT and Operations standpoint.

- Proactive capacity management on behalf of different business verticals

- Reporting on a periodic basis - 360 degree view of IT and Operations landscape

- Periodic visits to the customers in managing the customer projects and ensuring the delivery on time, scope, risk and cost.

- Should be able to cut-down the operation cost year-on-year by at least 15% (which is 15% improvement in bottom line as KPI)

Relationship and Contracts :

- Responsible for the management of multiple information and communications systems and projects

- Review all hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate

- Maintain contact with IT suppliers and maintains knowledge of current technology, equipment, prices and terms of agreements to minimize the investment required to meet established service levels

- Manage relationships with vendors for sales, service and support of all information systems and technology including requirements for Ops and projects

- Serve as the primary contact to software, hardware and network-related vendors, consultants and partners

- Customer Relationship Management - Operational reviews, Projects reviews etc

- Maintaining relationship with NPCI, Visa, MasterCard etc.

Risk Management :

- Be responsible for the development, review and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans

- Oversee and evaluate system security and back up procedures

- Maintain problem logs, documenting system errors or defects

- Facilitate correction of any system failures and serve as contact point for all system solutions

- Create risk mitigation procedures

Implementation :

- Implemented Collaboration tools across the organization to support global workforce

- Implemented ERP, Salesforce management tools across the organization in multiple geographies

- Comprehensive implementation of Office Automation and productivity tools to derive quick turnaround time.

- Strong domain and SME on Network Layer

- Managed the implementation of Security Products such as (Firewalls, Intrusion prevention and detection, 2FA authentication tools, Anti-phising measures, Anti-Virus tools)

- Hands on implementation expertise in High Availability infrastructure for a Mission Critical Application with 99.9% uptime) like it happens in Banks

- Should have worked in Site-to-Site mirroring

- Experience in Tape Vaulting to take remote and offline backup; Reduction in backup cost and increase in backup reliability is a must by implementation of the latest backup features

- Very important to have implemented the Architecture framework like TOGAF, ZACHMAN or similar such framework in an automated environment

- Managed the large scale implementation of Security Monitoring and Building Management solutions

- Managed the implementation of Business Process and workflow management within our environment

Control :

- Design, implement and evaluate the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software

- Evaluate systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation and operational management

- Evaluate alternatives, perform appropriate cost benefit analysis and recommend solutions that maximize effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks

- Establish standards of performance and monitor conformance for staff (through performance review) and vendors (through service level agreements)

- Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements

- Managing the testing, UAT for different customers and providing on-time delivery commitment

- Establishing global help desk for different customers to monitor the SLA and maintain up time commitment and avoid penalties.

Quality and Compliance :

- Ensure that all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, regulatory agencies and legal requirements

- Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts

- Constantly improve the compliance and quality levels within the systems of the company

Training :

- Supervise the development and maintenance of user documentation, including complete user manuals, FAQs and help files

- Communicate IS/IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staff

- Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive user training programs for new and existing users
