Financial Risk Reporting - Enterprise Risk Management - Insurance

Job Description :

- To provide Risk reports and analysis to various Committees.

- Use of regulatory knowledge, business understanding and expert judgement.

- To quickly identify underlying issues and escalate issues, where appropriate.

- Timely preparation of reports with high level of accuracy

- To evaluate the information collected and review other information available (e.g. monitoring / deep dive, audit reports, breaches, SOX findings, regulatory changes) and report on where thresholds have been breached or highlight where things need to be escalated to the Risk Senior Management Team (SMT) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

- To review and analyse data, documents, statistics, report, market trends, other MI etc. and be able to challenge and influence SMT when necessary.

- To communicate effectively and confidently with the Chief Risk Officer and Risk Senior Management.

- To support the evolution of risk reporting for the UK Risk function and maintain a good understanding of current MI practices, tools and techniques, helping Risk Management to understand where improvements can be made in line with evolving practice.

Required candidate Skills :

- Chartered Accountancy/MBA(MMS/PGDM)

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in the areas of responsibility, delivering a broad range of Enterprise risk management activities with focus on Risk reporting analysis or reporting on key financial themes and research on Financial Services topics (BFSI/Insurance sector).

- Good knowledge of Insurance products, systems and distribution methods

- Practical and theoretical knowledge of business risk and control frameworks and how these map to evolving regulatory requirements

- Ability to independently undertake research, author technical papers and provide thought leadership on current and emerging risk themes and topics

- Expert analytical and report writing skills, with the ability to draw out key facts and trends concisely and with clarity.
