Job Description:
Commercial Banking provides the complete product offering of the organization, including lending, treasury services, investment banking and investment management to corporations, financial institutions, municipalities, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Deposit Pricing /Treasury services / Real estate / Middle Market / Corporate Client functions broadly focuses on the management of client, portfolio deposit pricing, Product / segment/ regional profitability and returns, presentation of complex liquidity deals and investment management expertise to clients and bankers, identification of emerging client requirements, management of segment initiatives and regular portfolio reviews with key stakeholders to drive financial results.
Key technical competencies
- Experience in Sales and Business reporting in a large BFSI GIC or Captive
- Expert knowledge in Profitability reporting- by product and business segment in banking finance domain
- Experience in preparation of flash report and dashboard/ management review packs
- Ability to integrate, organize and manage high volume of complex data from multiple sources with Excel macro skills
Key responsibilities
- Design and build daily / weekly / monthly management reporting on the product portfolios and exception/ segment reporting
- Ability to drive end to end solutions as per onshore team expectations with minimal support
- Generate various insights for senior management to enable decision making, with information on trends, major movements and segmentation report with several other key measures
- Take responsibility and accountability for robust quality control and standards
- Proactive approach to identify and highlight major variances
- Ad hoc projects as requested
Key skills/ Desirable Characteristics
- Relevant experience ranging between 5-9 years in P&A banking finance domain
- Experience on Corporate Controllership, Business Finance, Project management and similar environment will be considered favorably
- Successful track record in working with others to deliver results
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while carrying multiple projects at any given time
- Strong ability to communicate / present ideas and plans verbally and in writing
- Curious, energetic and highly proactive in nature and always focusing on opportunity arising from situations
- No excuses- culture and mindset as a belief system
- Prior stakeholder engagement (VP and above) is desirable
Educational Qualifications
- CA / ICWA / CMA / MBA - Finance
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
- In-depth knowledge in Excel - Macros and BI Tools
