Job Purpose:

- This is an excellent opportunity for a results oriented Finance leader to join the center for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) .

- The Mumbai FP&A teams form a critical part of company's FP&A function and are driving progress towards achieving FP&A vision of becoming a strategic business advisor. The Mumbai FP&A teams are building on existing relationships with Finance leads globally and enabling decision making.


- The teams focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the forward looking processes and generate business insights for all businesses. The senior resources in Mumbai FP&A teams will be required to lead the change management effort, drive discussions with Finance/business seniors and enhance knowledge and skill sets of existing team members

About FP&A:

- The FP&A function is responsible for partnering with business heads and CEOs/CFOs to manage the quarterly outlooks and forecasts, a 3-year Strategic Plan and annual operating plan integrated with the CCAR processes. Additionally, FP&A teams act as advisor to business/finance heads to develop strategy, monitor business performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive strategic initiatives

- The FP&A function partners with the CFOs and Finance heads to prepare and conduct insightful business reviews with business heads on a regular basis and also prepares materials and themes for the quarterly earnings discussions

- The FP&A function collaborates with all functions supporting the business (e.g. Operations, Technology, Sales, Product Management, Risk, etc.) to align their performance/initiatives

Role Outline/Job Profile:

- Lead Mumbai FP&A team to deliver core FP&A activities.

- Partner with Finance leads and FP&A heads to support the achievement of key business and financial goals.

- Lead the transformation of the Mumbai FP&A to provide business insights to businesses and finance teams globally and progress towards achieving FP&A vision.

- Manage close working relationship with the CFO- s, LFO's and finance leads on all aspects particularly talent strategy and operating model.

- Establish ongoing process to continue to build team's understanding of businesses and build a track record of providing high quality and actionable business insights.

- Participate and lead key initiatives across the Mumbai FP&A center.

- Promote and drive talent development and mobility within the FP&A teams.

Core Responsibilities:

- Lead the Mumbai FP&A team to own core forward looking processes including annual plan, monthly outlooks and CCAR related processes.

- Lead the Mumbai FP&A teams to ensure greater involvement and ownership of performance management processes including periodic business reviews with finance and business heads, quarter end earnings preparation and monthly business performance reviews.

- Partner with finance heads globally to drive strategic initiatives to re-align business performance with established annual and multi-year strategic targets.

- Drive FP&A transformation efforts as part of continuous process improvements and partnering with other teams to create tools/capabilities required to generate insights.

- Establish effective talent management programs to grow existing staff's capabilities and to attract high performing resources from external sources.

- Ensure adherence to Mumbai FP&A center's risk and control requirements by the team

- Play an impactful role within the Mumbai FP&A Analytical center to drive center wide initiatives and be an advisor to the leadership team.

- Manage large finance/analytical team supporting core planning and analysis across all regions of the company.

- Interaction with people at all levels from different areas of the organization (finance, business, risk etc.).

- Participating in conducting training sessions on Policy/Analysis for the Analysts/Junior Analysts in the team.

- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of country, regional, and global stakeholders and their needs.

- Thinks of new solutions and mechanisms to meet stakeholder needs.

- Analyses stakeholder feedback and improves products and the Service Delivery Model to enhance stakeholder satisfaction levels.

- Clarifies stakeholder requirements and develops approaches to address them.

- Approaches problem in an informed and logical manner for its solution and differentiate problems and their symptoms.

- Collects information from different sources to identify patterns, trends and solutions

- Fosters and facilitates collaborative problem solving and decision making.

- Integrates and synthesizes potentially conflicting information to arrive at clear and timely decision.

- Brings cross-disciplinary knowledge to bear on business issues and opportunities.

- Sponsors unconventional ideas/projects that may lead to organizational breakthroughs, applies vision and entrepreneurial skills to identify and implement new and innovative approaches to drive business results.

- Acknowledges differing points of views and assertively takes measures to resolve them by developing concurrence across teams and hence looking for win-win solutions.

- Encourages diversity of views, opinions and styles to foster members to take initiative and collaborate with others to solve problems.

Qualifications


Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

- Chartered Accountant or MBA - Finance with FP&A experience.

- Should have worked in a senior role with a Bank and should have good knowledge of banking products.

- Highly articulate in verbal presentations as well as written communications.

- Demonstrated strength in detailed financial analysis.

- Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior-level executives.

- Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude.

- A leader who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work.

- Excellent organizational and project management skills.

- Strategic mindset to integrate business strategy into all communications.

- Track record of success in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.

- Past experience managing mid-sized teams.

Additional Information :

- Candidates should be willing to work in shifts, either Asia or UK.
