GCA Offshore Reporting & Analytics

This is a senior leadership role in Mumbai Finance Centre as to lead the ICG FP&A teams for all regions and ICG products (Markets, Banking, Private Bank & TTS). It requires deep understanding & knowledge of Corporate Banking products. This would be a global role also encompassing global ICG consolidation & reporting & be a part of all global transformation projects as well.

Drive FP&A processes - have a deep understanding of business drivers, financials plan, outlook, strategic targets, insight, reporting requirements etc.

End to end responsibility & ownership - Play a key role in Planning & monthly outlook process and other critical MIS/analysis. Drive preparation and analysis of Key Management Review Decks for Regional & Global Business Heads with respect to the P&L, Headcount, Cost of Credit and Balance Sheet analysis

Identify and enable opportunities for automation, process enhancements & reduce production time to allow more time for analysis. Streamline / reduce redundancies, standardize and implement best practices across regions/products.

Guide the team to develop controls, accuracy, enhanced MIS and analytics

Drive growth targets of the Mumbai Planning & Analysis Analytics Center. Engage and work with CFOs to increase product/region/content coverage for the Mumbai Center.

Relationship Management with very senior FP&A leaders, CFOs and other groups like risk, treasury etc.

Engage with leads to drive Mumbai involvement in key projects, enhance quality of work and streamline current processes/deliverables.

Actively lead the transformation agenda around standardization, simplification and automation. This involves identifying key content & structural enablers and socializing with global finance seniors to drive buy in for these finance goals. Drive common platform, sources, processes implementation across ICG finance groups.

Provide strategic direction and drive rationalization of core P&A activities improving efficiency and effectiveness of - what we do and where we do it- .

Lead a 100 member team - mentor, support & provide guidance/ thought leadership to the team, develop strong resiliency, successors, leads and backups within the team. Talent Management and allocate/match resources to get best results.

Play an active role in the Mumbai Management Committee in terms of Knowledge sharing, participation in cross-team Projects and providing thought leadership etc.

1. Interaction with extremely senior stakeholders - All global & regional product CFO's & P&A Heads

2. Strong people management skills - large team of 100+ people

3. Drive key transformation projects & re-engineering projects globally.

4. Play a key role in supporting implementation of Business Initiatives with respect to the Balance Sheet, Expenses & profitability.

Qualifications

Required

Chartered Accountant or MBA- Finance with at least 15 years of progressive experience across finance functions like Business/financial Planning, Controllership, CFO support, Reporting etc. Must have worked in a senior challenging role with a Bank, Financial Institution or Banking COE.

Strong understanding of Banking business, P&A process and CFO function

Excellent financial analysis and management reporting background

Excellent presentation skills

Experienced in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel & Word).

Team Management - should have managed large analytical teams.

Ability to effectively communicate

Very strong analytical and problem solving skills. Able to synthesize large amounts of data and provide business insights/analysis that will help in decision making. Attention to detail is an essential part of the job

Adaptability, multitasking and strong project management skills

Demonstrate an ability to learn anddesire to develop and improve by challenging status quo

Interpersonal skills (ability to work with colleagues at all levels across multiple locations)

Ability to build key relationships with finance and business heads & teams

Highly motivated, participative team player with a change agent mentality that can provide leadership

Ability to influence people and empower team members to be proactive and focused on partnerships and results

Experience working with data and knowledge of financial reporting tools such as Essbase would be a plus.

- Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint skills with attention to detail

- Experience with using reporting tools (Business Objects or similar), working knowledge of cost-center / managed segment structures

- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities while executing on numerous deliverables simultaneously

- Ability to analyze large amount of data and translating into business insights

- Business analysis experience, including knowledge of managerial accounting principles is required

- Understanding of Activity Based Costing (ABC) principles, methodologies, practices and applications is a plus

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Superior organizational abilities and project management skills, and strong team player

- People management and leadership skills (for supervisor only)

- Re-engineering experience will be a plus

- Financial services products knowledge is a plus
