Financial Controller - SaaS

We are hiring for the role of Financial Controller for one of the fast-growing clients in SaaS business and they are a remote-first organization and accept work from home as the norm.

Experience in US GAAP is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the overall financial management of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, and budgeting.

2. Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant regulations and laws, including the preparation of financial statements and other reports that are required for external auditing and regulatory compliance.

3. Managing and leading the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

4. Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to improve financial management and decision-making.

5. Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders to help drive growth and profitability.

6. Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to understand and manage the financial impact of their activities on the company.

7. Staying informed of industry trends and developments in accounting and finance, and incorporating them into the company's financial strategy.

8. Managing financial relationships with banks and other financial institutions, including arranging finance and managing cash flow.

9. Identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing plans to improve profitability.

10. Work closely with upper management to ensure that budgets and financial targets are met.

11. Continuously monitor the company's financial performance and make recommendations for improvements as necessary.

Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is required

2.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a SaaS company or similar industry

3. A strong understanding of US GAAP, and experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting are also required.

4. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team

5. Strong communication and presentation skills

6. Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software

7. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to think strategically.
