Sephora also features its own make-up, skincare, and beauty tools and accessories.

Job Description - Reporting to the India Country Head, you will initially be in a Sole Contributor role responsible for:

- Manage monthly, quarterly and year end close to ensure timely and accurate reporting to parent company in coordination with regional finance team

- Ensure that all India local accounting, reporting, tax, closing and finance matter are in line with both local regulations and group policy

- Assist Country Manager to serve as an advisor to coordinate with other departments in dealing with financial-related practices

- Partner with Regional Finance team to develop and document efficient and effective controls on processes that are consistent across subsidiaries.

- In charge of the relationships with financial external providers:

- Bank, insurance, audit firm, accounting firm and legal advisors

- Review treasury management

- Manage credit risk control and cash flow

- Coordinating with franchise partner and outsourced finance vendor on relevant issues.

- Manage and review the preparation of all journal and adjusting entries to ensure financial reporting accuracy and completeness.

- Support external and internal audits as necessary.

- Responsible for the delivery and preparation of Budget Planning figures including, Budget, Revised Budget, Business Plan and ad hoc business plan

- Responsible of the preparation of Investment Planning for new store (CAPEX)

- Work on various special projects as needed.

- Coordinate with legal firm for reviewing store lease contract, board resolution, vendor management and all legal issues

The Successful Candidate - You should be a CA with 5 - 8 years of experience. Prior experience of working in fashion, retail, wholesale/ franchise business model is mandatory. Experience of working in a JV would be preferred. You should have a good command on english language along with effective problem-solving and issue resolution capabilities. SAP knowledge is advantageous. This is a Sole Contributer role so you must be capable to build a Finance function from scratch and have a hands on approach.
