Financial Controller - Insurance

Hiring for FINANCIAL CONTROLLER for a leading Insurance Industry in Southern Africa.

- Responsible for financial matters and administration of a company.

- Yearly finalization of accounts, quarterly closing, handling taxation matters.

- Maintenance of assets, bank and cash reconciliations. Dealing with external and internal auditors. Monitoring budgets. Debtors reconciliation and collection.

- Filing of periodical returns to tax authorities, insurance and other regulators.

- Managing the investments of the company.

- Should have handled day to day accounting reconciliations, co insurance, receivables, payable, and taxation matters of a general insurance company.

- Should have experience in dealing with government bodies.

- Should be good in MIS.

- Good communication skills. Willingness to take up additional responsibilities.

- Should have worked on an ERP package and familiar with IFRS/IAS. Capable of re-insurance accounting and settlements.

- Should be well versed with insurance software's (the company presently uses premia).
