Financial Controller - FinTech - CA

Our client, a market leading unicorn fintech, is looking for a Financial Controller to build the in-house finance function, grow the team and put in place systems and processes.

Responsibilities :

- Plan, organize and direct the financial management of the Company and activities of the finance department in compliance with all legal and ethical standards. This includes but is not limited to :

- Supervising the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including revenue projections

- Directly responsible for financial accounting, audit, risk, corporate finance and statutory compliances

- Preparing of the annual budget with various departments, financial forecasts, reporting and investigating variances.

- Cash flow management and fund allocation as per the agreed guidelines between the various stakeholders.

- Supporting fund raising, investor relations and corporate development

- Compliances for direct / indirect tax requirements, GST, secretarial, legal and other statutory compliances.

- Manage reconciliation with various business partners

- Set up and establish systems & processes including a robust ERP system

- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and providing monthly MIS, accounts, cash flows statements, investor reporting, and legal compliance reports.

- Building and leading a team of qualified professionals to manage different functions in finance and accounting

Qualifications :

- Chartered Accountant

- 10+ years of relevant experience, either

a) Industry experience - start up environment will be an advantage or

b) As a practicing CA, preferably in the Big 4. Experience working with startups will be an advantage
