Our client, a reputed Global Consulting Firm is looking for Financial Controller in Gurgaon.

Position Overview:

As a Financial Controller, you will assume a key leadership role in the finance department. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all financial aspects of the firm, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. You will play a critical role in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the firm's growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Provide insightful financial analysis, trends, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and improve business performance.

- Monitor key financial metrics, revenue drivers, and profitability to identify opportunities for optimization.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.

- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and internal policies.

- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any accounting or reporting issues.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management.

- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.

- Implement financial controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and minimize financial risks.

Cash Flow Management:

- Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, working capital optimization, and liquidity management.

- Monitor receivables, payables, and billing processes to ensure timely collection and payment.

- Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and mitigate financial risks associated with project delivery.

Financial Systems and Processes:

- Evaluate, implement, and enhance financial systems, tools, and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

- Identify opportunities for automation and digitization to enhance financial reporting and data analysis capabilities.

- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems and databases.

Stakeholder Management and Business Partnership:

- Collaborate with senior management and business leaders to provide financial insights, guidance, and support.

- Act as a trusted advisor, offering financial expertise to help drive strategic initiatives and business decisions.

- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide timely financial information and analysis as needed.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the finance department.

Qualifications and Skills:

- CA with 10+ years experience in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on financial control and management.

- Prior experience within a Management Consulting firm or a Big 4 Audit Firm is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, advanced Excel) and experience with financial modeling and data analysis.

- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, industry-specific regulations, and internal control frameworks.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.

- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
