Financial Controller - CA - FMCG

Preferred Qualification :

Chartered Accountant with 7-9 years of experience in controller ship. SAP experience must. Familiarity with Hyperion will be a plus

Role : Lead and direct controller ship functions for INR 2500 crs+ business, within compliance and reporting framework.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Managing Book Closure, Reporting, Review of Key Accounts, Budgeting and Variance Analysis,

- Ensuring Statutory Compliance, Sox, compliance of Direct and Indirect Taxation Laws to extent applicable

- Review and implementation of Internal Financial Policy and ensure its Compliance

- Identify key control gaps area and set up periodic review process to track the health of business control processes across Purchase to Pay; Order to Cash and accounting of these

- Ensure compliance with relevant prescribed accounting standards

- Funds/Cash Flow Management- daily funds planning and monitoring

- Handle Quarterly Financial and Operations Audit

- Review and present MIS Reports

Value adds expected :

- Introduce opportunities for Cost Saving/Optimization

- Simplify accounting processes and policies and standardize. Improve areas like travel accounting, forex accounting

- Automate repeat activities such as provisioning, repeat payments

- Managing Team, Training and Skill

Daily Activities ( if specifically asked only) :

- Managing daily funds planning and management

- Ensuring timely payments through effective management of own employees and outsourced service provider

- Monthly book closure

- Inter current reconciliations

- RBI/Tax compliance

- Conducting Review of GLs

- Liaise with Corporate team on Treasury, Tax matters

Experience:

- Prior experience of working in the Retail/ FMCG sector would be an advantage, but not mandatory

- Successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, detail oriented and will possess the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including business finance; factory; AR, Accounting, IS, and corporate taxation teams.

- Must have demonstrated experience in handling accounting, finance operations and reporting processes.
