Financial Controller - CA - Banking

Job Description:

This position would be responsible for accounts, tax (Direct & Indirect), regulatory (RBI) and statutory reporting & compliances. This position will report into Chief Financial Officer and will have team reporting into him/her.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Management of accounts including effective implementation of accounting policies & processes

- Ensure delivery of monthly reporting packs to key stake holders

- Ensuring balance sheet substantiation and General Ledger review on monthly basis

- Preparation of all financial statements and accounts for audit

- Ensure statutory compliances & reporting including direct & indirect tax and RBI (finance related)

- Coordinate and successfully conclude financial audits (internal, statutory, tax etc.)

- Maintain relationship with banks for managing working capital requirement

- Timely support to other functions for meeting their deliverables which are dependent on accounts

- Develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture, focusing on efficient ways of working for both current and new processes

- Provide effective management and leadership, and conduct performance and development reviews of team managed, to ensure motivated performance, high quality service delivery and achievement of goals

Skills & Qualifications - 

- Chartered Accountant with 14+ years of experience, preferably in banking industry

- More than 4 years experience as Head of Accounting or Finance / Finance Controller

- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, preferably SAP.

- Knowledge of core banking solution (CBS) and ADF reporting (will be plus)

- Knowledge of Direct & Indirect Tax (Income Tax & GST), Ind-AS (IFRS), IFC and RBI reporting requirements

- Effective oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to efficiently communicate financial results to both financially and non-financially oriented persons
