Financial Controller - Australia NZ region The Role: We are looking for our ANZ Financial Controller and we are consider Mumbai based staff if they are the right caliber and fit. Working together with Location Finance Managers, the Financial Controller, ANZ will ensure proper governance and deliver Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Year reporting. You will provide strong support to the Finance Director and actively working towards ensuring overall APAC deliverables are receiving the right attention and support when required. For an India based resource the following would be essential: - 12 plus years of experience - International team/remote team management - Shared Service Centre stakeholder management - Some form of overseas experience, degree, professional qualification, work experience - Chartered is preferred Responsibilities will include: - Location governance - Ensure that for all ANZ locations an active register of Statutory, Taxation and internal compliance requirements (ASX 4.2 etc) is maintained and used to track compliance with such requirements. - Oversee, advocate and enforces the key policies and procedures (e.g. DOA and Revenue Recognition) across ANZ. - Provide training, development and education to key stakeholders on the process, procedures and tasks associated with the Group's policies and procedures. - Work with locations to continue to identify areas to improve and drive best practice across all internal and external governance requirements. - Complete, Accurate and timely completion of reporting requirements - Ensure statutory filings are completed on time - Talent development and succession planning incorporating diversity; performance management by shaping effective behaviors - Build, develop and empower direct reports, delegating appropriate authority levels to facilitate effective achievement of team and individual accountabilities. To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes: - A qualified accountant with a proven track record of success with significant financial experience, most recently in a senior financial management role. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to gain the confidence of senior management - Good understanding of relevant legislation and internal and external compliance requirements. - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficient use of other Microsoft applications - Ability to think outside the box and identify issues and solutions to those issues. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required. - A high degree of organizational skills - A track record of successfully managing teams and implementing change; ideally experienced in managing an international team.
