Financial Controller - Alternative Investment Fund

Years of Experience: 4-5 years of experience or Semi Qualified CA with 10-12 years of experience

Location: Mumbai

Educational Qualifications: CA or Semi CA

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

1) Activities in relation to the Investment Managers of AIF and AIF/ VCF Fund's involving;

- supervising and overseeing the book-keeping, accounting and tax aspects of various entities of the Funds,

- preparing MIS, which are non-standard and complex in nature;

- Responsible for quarterly and annual financial reporting with respect to Funds and Investment Managers entity;

- Responsible for tax returns - Income tax, GST etc.;

- Responsible for maintaining the investor database and investor servicing and to respond to various investor queries;

- Responsible for compliance with various regulatory and financial filings;

- Co-ordinating with administrators offshore

2) Possess strong knowledge of International and Indian Financial Reporting Standards;

3) Liaise with tax, accounting and legal consultants for various matters pertaining to the tax, accounting, valuation and regulatory matters in relation to managing the existing funds;

Functional Competencies

- knowledge of audit and tax

- working experience in private equity industry is preferred

- strongly proficient in MS Excel

- well versed with Tally, data entry, IFRS , IGAAP, preparing financials

- actively involved in tax assessments and compliance

- understanding of relevant laws and statutes
