Financial Control Role - Accounting & Tax - CA

Summary of the position :

- Monitoring the books of account, to ensure that the books of account reflect, on a timely basis, a consistent and accurate view of the transactions conducted by the bank

- Statutory/Head Office/Regulatory authority audits, certifications and reporting

- Monthly MIS and analysis of the Opex / Accruals, etc

- Handling in the Tax function _ direct ( including Transfer Pricing) and indirect(GST)

- Involvement in the Annual Budget exercise.

Main duties :

- Ensure all accounting and regulatory reporting is done in an organized, scheduled and qualitative manner.

- Handle the Tax function in terms of return submissions / handling the assessments, etc

- Handle the Budget process

- Prepare and analyse the monthly operating expenses by department

- Handle the invoicing to the other entities

Candidate's technical skills :

- Chartered Accountant, with at least 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in a bank or a captive in the Finance Department.

- Good knowledge of Accounting & Regulatory Norms, both Local GAAP and IFRS

- Should have handled the accounting closure and audit

- A basic understanding of the Tax function.

- Ability to grasp the working of the accounting / reporting systems

- Comfortable working in MS-Excel with knowledge of pivots, v-lookup and basic excel functions
