Financial Accounting Expert - Banking Sector - Consulting Firm - Contractual Role

Our client, a premier consulting firm, is urgently seeking a seasoned Financial Accounting Expert specialized in banking for an on-site project in Riyadh. This prestigious project, initially set for 3-6 months, presents a high likelihood of extension, offering the chosen expert a chance to influence financial practices within the end client bank significantly.

Responsibilities:

- Income Recognition: Develop and implement income recognition principles for Corporate, SME, and Retail businesses, covering both yield-based and fee-based income.

- Partner Income Recognition: Handle income recognition involving partners, incorporating best practices in reconciliation, disputes, and clawbacks. This includes specific scenarios like Bancassurance Income, Loan Subsidization with government institutions (e.g., REDF, Monshaat, TDF), and transactions with partner payment firms.

- Performance Reporting: Design performance reporting frameworks that consider underlying assumptions and data sources, ensuring accuracy and insightful analysis for decision-making.

Requirements:

- Expertise: Strong background in financial accounting within the banking sector, particularly experienced in income recognition and performance reporting.

- Qualifications: Must possess CA, CFA, or an MBA in Finance from a reputable institution.

- Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of success in financial accounting roles within the banking industry.

Stakeholder Management: Demonstrable ability to present to and interact with senior stakeholders, conveying complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.

Skills:

- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting, with a deep understanding of banking operations and income streams.

- Expertise in handling financial disputes, reconciliations, and clawback procedures.

Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to analyse data sources and assumptions used in performance reporting.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with high-level stakeholders.

Other Important Information

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 3-6 months contract. This opportunity is based out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
