Finance Systems Support Leader

We are hiring for one of the renowned MNC

Location: Delhi NCR

Position : Finance Systems Support Leader

Reports to : Senior Manager - Business Systems Group

Job Responsibilities :

FSG Support Team Management :

Finance Systems Project Lead has the responsibility of leading the FSG Support team in supporting the applications used by the Global Finance function. Effectively executing this will require the Finance Systems Support Lead to :

- Take ownership of leading the day to day support of a Finance application cluster and ensure all system issues are resolved, demand for system changes are tracked and the implementation of changes are managed properly to completion. The portfolio applications to be supported across FSG include:

Oracle Financials (GL, AP and FA) - package solution

Time & Billing (T&B) - custom Oracle solution

Infor Time and Expense - packaged solution

Pyramid and Financial Planning (PFP) - custom solution

Palette - packaged solution

Business Objects (BO) - packaged solution

- Provide leadership and mentorship to the FSG Support team and establish an effective operating model for the team

- Work with the FSG's other work streams (enhancements and initiatives) to stay coordinated with their work and determine if support needs are being met in the regions that they represent.

- Work with the IT / Development functions to communicate, track and manage application support fixes.

- Engage and support the Global Finance controllers, analysts and overall end user community to ensure systems are performing properly and meeting the user's expectations.

- Leadership, Mentoring and Career Development

Finance Systems Support Lead is responsible for leading, mentoring and managing five FSG Business Analysts, with the potential of additional resources over time. This responsibility includes establishing a strong rapport with the team, managing day to day operations and addressing team issues. Effectively executing this will require the Financial Systems Support Lead to:

- Manage and develop their Business Analyst team

- Identify appropriate growth opportunities for the team and play an active role in promoting the growth

- Provide guidance to the team in their day to day activities and assist them in managing their workload by balancing demand and priorities.

- Ensure the teams work is completed properly and to the satisfaction of the users.

- Conduct performance reviews, determine training and development need and build development plans.

- Promote a spirit of teaming and ensure that the team is integrated into the larger FSG global team.

User support, documentation and training :

Finance Systems Project Lead is responsible for the day to day support, documentation and training of a cluster of finance applications within the overall portfolio. Effectively executing this will require the Financial Systems Project Lead to:

- Actively monitor and track user communicated support issues. Assist in answering questions and resolving issues they have in using the applications. The portfolio applications to be supported across the India FSG team include:

Oracle Financials (GL, AP and FA) - package solution

Time & Billing (T&B) - custom Oracle solution

Infor Time and Expense - packaged solution

Pyramid and Financial Planning (PFP) - custom solution

Palette - packaged solution

Business Objects (BO) - packaged solution

- Work closely with FSG Regional Project Leads and Business Analysts to assist and provide a level of triage support with local offices for complex issues.

- Assist in routine application configuration and administrative setup.

- Work with FSG Project Leads and Business Analysts to develop training content and strategies for Financial applications

- Conduct end user training as required; may be one-on-one, classroom, or web conference format

Job Requirements :

Education or Certifications :

- Experience on professional services firm in a manager or project lead role

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting or Finance

- CPA, Chartered Accountant certification or equivalent experience preferred

Work Experience :

- Minimum of 9 years of applicable experience supporting or implementing financial applications

- Prior experience working in a global organization, preferably in a professional services organization

- Proven leadership experience

- Strong relationship building skills

- Ability to interact with an executive and non-executive individuals

Functional /Technical Skills :

- Ability to develop and manage project and resource plans

- Ability to develop a detailed understanding of system functionality in order to serve as a subject matter expert within the team.

- Balance of strong business process knowledge and technical system knowledge

- Prior experience with enterprise software and business intelligence solutions required (Oracle Financials and Business Objects preferred)

- Prior experience working with 3rd party application vendors and consulting vendor agencies

- Demonstrated experience resolving complex business and application problems

Computer Skills :

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Proficiency with large enterprise applications (e.g. Oracle or SAP)

- Proficiency with SQL (a plus)

- Proficiency with business intelligence tools, such as SAP Business Objects (a plus)

- Combination of Finance process and Finance systems expertise

- Strong interpersonal and teaming skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills at an executive, business and technical level

- Exceptional work management, organization and planning

- Demonstrated customer services and business orientation

- Experience working effectively in a global (follow the sun) organization

- High level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, collaboration and patience

- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team bringing a sense of urgency to the tasks at hand

- Ability to understand business processes and take active role in developing future business improvements

- Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment

- Must be able to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business .
