Job Role We are looking for a senior finance leader from a leading finance shared services organization to join our Finance Shared Services Org (FSS) Team, who possesses excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities and passion to drive change. The position will report to Corporate Finance Controller in US and will be responsible for designated accounting processes across global locations. The role is expected to work closely with global leaders on day to day basis. The position is responsible for many aspects of financial activities ranging from accounting transactions, including but not limited to cash, accruals, prepaids and fixed assets, the monthly financial close, including hands on review and approval of journal entries and financial statements, reconciliations, analytical review, to finance operations improvement in a fast-paced, non-traditional, multi-country and multi-currency rapid growth international environment. The role may require some, infrequent travel internationally as and when needed. Job Responsibilities - Actively contributing to the overall development of FSS in line with the business objectives, embracing continuous process alignment and improvement, and implementing standards - Responsible for monthly close activities including preparing reviewing and posting journal entries, with SOX compliance. Ensure timely completion and review of all general ledger account reconciliation. Accountable to Regional Process Owners to ensure monthly financial close is completed on time and accurately. Responsible for operational controls on SOX. Ensure compliance of the US GAAP in day to day work. Ensure full support for local GAAP accounting and provide accounting guidance to the team - Developing the quality and efficiency of FSS for all divisions globally in accordance with the business needs and standard tools - Building and leading competent, proactive agile teams and ensuring cultural alignment between onshore and offshore teams - Responsible for implementation of metrics and service delivery KPIs to measure quantitative and qualitative work delivered and provide the report to respective regions. - Ensuring the provision of an excellent level of customer support and maintenance of the overall Finance services - Continuously improving efficiency in the organization and thereby ensuring implementation of offshoring plans with various countries - Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and drive global/regional finance initiatives to enhance and improve the process to bring operational efficiency for Regional Process Owners - Identify areas of process that can be automated and initiate to automate those areas of processes for organization to scale to next level of efficiency. - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Assist in annual audit with the external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time Preferred Skills - Excellent people management skills and should have developed efficient assessment model for the team, implemented talent development programs and training programs for increased accountability - Exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to exercise independent judgment and work effectively with various levels of the organization locally and globally - Should have played at least transformation leadership role to face and adapt the structure to the new challenges - Excellent analytical skills, business acumen, organization savvy and passion in process improvement and innovation to develop FSS service penetration opportunities - Ability to embrace the fast-changing technology environment and passion to learn new tools/technology for effective deliverable - International experience to ensure perfect cultural awareness in a global environment - Experienced in Oracle multi-currency and multi-country ledgers - Open to international travel to meet key stakeholders and customers Academic Qualification - Chartered Accountant or CPA or MBA Finance with at least 14-18 years of experience, with minimum of 5 years of Finance Shared Services experience serving international customers. - Financial process re-engineering and project management will be a plus - Strong understanding of the US and local GAAP
