Finance Process Consultant - BFSI

Job description:

- Demonstrate a breadth of experience and a depth of understanding of Finance function processes ( Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, Record to report, Taxation, Financial/ Management reporting) to deliver large finance function consulting projects

- Demonstrate ability to articulate solutions to clients and sustain opinion with sufficient examples / expertise

- Deliver projects on implementation of enabling technologies ( ERP applications, reporting tools, workflow applications)

- Deliver projects on Business process re-engineering

- Develop key thought leadership material on Finance function

- Provide offshore or onsite support in projects that run in different geographies"

The consultant must be able to perform responsibilities across onsite client delivery, thought leadership, capability development and offshore support

1. Perform current state analysis of Finance processes and document "as-is" Process in core finance areas

2. Articulate solutions and project methodology pertaining to finance function transformation or deployment of finance enabling technology applications relevant to the context in client conversations and demonstrate ability to sustain opinion with sufficient examples / expertise and assisting in formulating specific solutions to address prioritized gaps

3. Design Finance related processes in the form of flow charts and process narratives.

4. Impart strong functional knowledge and guidance to Client and project team

5. Supervisory role may be a played by a consultant to ensure that the work/deliverables executed by his subordinates meet the quality expectations and meets clients expectations

6. Defining testing and implementation activities for architectures, capabilities and processes (incase of technology implementation)

7. Developing and testing business processes, capabilities, and architectures (incase of technology implementation)

8. Assist in the development of capabilities in the finance operations/Corporate Finance consulting practice.

Required work-Experience

- 4-8 years of work experience preferably all the years in Finance function with project experience and skills in Finance processes.

- Functional experience in Finance transformation projects across all or any of the phases i.e Plan, design, Build, Test and Deploy, preferably involving implementation of Enabling technology, tools and Software applications

- Working knowledge on leading ERP applications

- Working knowledge on IFRS / US GAAP
