The Finance Operations specialist role is based in Bangalore acts as the single point of contact to manage all Accounting management and act as a liaison between our Chartered Accountants in India, our banks in India and the Operations and Finance team based in our Head Quarters in the United States. The role would directly be accountable for all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, managing cash flow and financial reporting of Indian service entity. Essential Functions: - Manage all Banking transactions and Payables: Which include transaction entry; bank reconciliations, cash receipts report, credit charges, ensuring timely & accurate entry of accounts payable invoices & employee expenses reimbursements - Accounting, Reconciliation and Reporting: Ensure month end journals, paper works and reconciliations are timely and accurate. - Accounts Receivables and Billing: Ensuring timely & accurate preparation of billed and unbilled Revenue, processing of sales invoices, credit notes, and client requests - Compliance: Ensuring timely & accurate preparation of Service Tax, TDS and VAT schedules for payment. Adhering to the TDS rules, ETDS return filing, vendor follow ups and management. - Ensuring payroll process working efficiently and adhering to all payroll compliances like PF, PT, TDS, etc. - Process improvement: Identifying opportunities to set up and improve efficiencies in current processes and procedures - Reporting and MIS: Periodic reports and analytics around overall cost, expenditure, leakage and improvement opportunities - Working with the appointed CA(s) and support them in maintaining completeness of all Financial and Accounting actions for India entity(ies) Competencies: 1. Required Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelors and / or Masters degree in Commerce. - 6 to 8 years of Accounting operations exposure in US based Technology organizations. Product organization experiences preferred. - Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting fundamentals, Laws and standards - Experience of working with US stakeholders and managed reporting relationships in the past - Ability to work in an individual contributor capacity and anchor our finance operations in India - Ability to effectively prioritize workload, self-manage and complete tasks to best meet project needs. - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, technical staff and clients
