KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preparation and review of the following monthly activities:

- Month end accounting,

- Posting and analysis of month-end cost/ recoveries

- Commentary on all the major P&L and Balance Sheet movements

- Balance sheet account reconciliations

- Review recoveries and internal charges from other divisions, analyse trends and engage with the divisional teams to ensure correctness of the costs and driving efficiencies and reductions in these charges to GFS

- Ensure compliance and adherence to Group’s Financial and Non-Financial policies in GFS.

- Compliance with all statutory requirements for applicable laws in India including Companies act, Direct and Indirect taxes, Labour laws, FEMA, EOU and SEZ compliances

- Finalisation and Audit of Statutory Financials for the India entity under applicable GAAPS (Indian / IFRS)

- Identify key drivers for the costs and recoveries and interact with the operations leads to ensure that monthly recoveries and costs are in line with the budgets / forecasts.

- Document the processes with a view to retain knowledge and ensure continuity

- Solid technical accounting, regulatory and tax knowledge

- Ability to build and maintain strong relations with clients at senior management / top management level. Managing client relationship and handle first level escalations

- Proactively seeking client feedback to further improve service level standards

- Continuously innovate with focus to improve processes enhancing efficiencies and adding value

- Travel: This role may require occasional domestic / international business travel

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead a team of 2-3 members and be responsible for recruitment, people engagement, growth & career development of team members.

Business Knowledge

- Experience in financial services and exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment preferred.

Technical Specialist Skills

- Good technical accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and/or IFRS. Some knowledge of financial markets may be helpful, however not essential.

- Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA

- 5-10 years post qualification experience including 2+ years of people management experience.
