Finance Manager (Mid-level position between Financial Controller and other F&C staff )

Location- Pune, India (Magarpatta)

Role/responsibilities

1. Will be fully responsible for the completeness, accuracy and correctness of accounting records at all times and for timely management, statutory, compliance and other reporting. He will also be responsible for the treasury function and other accounting related responsibilities such as audit.

2. Will be responsible for ensuring continuing compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax Laws, Company Law/Secretarial matters, Software Export Zone (“SEZ”) regulations, relevant Labour Laws, Reserve Bank of India and FEMA regulations and all other relevant statutes.

3. Should proactively support business and operations in terms of maintaining and strengthening of internal controls, reporting of KPIs and exceptions and providing input for strategic decisions.

Reporting (to)

1. Reports to the Financial Controller, India operations.

2. Will also directly interact with the Finance team in the Netherlands.

Subordinate Staff

1. Two or three subordinate staff will report to the Finance Manager.

2. However, the Finance Manager will be required to work extensively (hands-on) on the JDE platform, use report writers and MS Office, often performing various tasks himself, as is customary in ERP environments for operations of such size.

Qualification

Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and preferably a qualified Company Secretary (ACS).

Experience

1. Must have:-5-7 years post-qualification accounting and finance experience in a multinational/international environment.

2. Must have:- hands-on ERP experience (preferably JDE)

3. Must have:- exposure (some atleast) to direct and/or indirect taxes

4. Must have:- exposure to IFRS or willingness to add to Indian GAAP knowledge

5. Desirable:-some experience/articleship with the “big 4” public accounting firms

6. Desirable:-experience in project /contract accounting.

Excellent communicator – spoken and written English, interpersonal skills

Self-starter, takes initiative and solution-focused

Hardworking, sticks to deadlines and can work under pressure

Excel, Word, PowerPoint, (Desirable: Outlook)
