Finance Data Governance Lead

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Define and own the data governance strategy for the Finance function, including the adoption of data principles, policies, frameworks and plans for data ownership while chairing the Finance Data Governance Board

- Identify and catalog, in coordination with the data owners and other stakeholders, the critical data elements (CDEs) that drive business and reporting activities

- Identify and resolve accounting data quality issues and provide guidance to accounting team that will drive consistent use of account master data

- Lead projects related to finance data governance to simplify and standardize master data to drive consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness

- Identify and implement use cases for process automation, data analytics and data visualizations within data governance as part of the Innovations and Insights Team

- Develop and deliver appropriate training to end users to broaden understanding of finance master data that will drive appropriate use of data and high-quality master data

- Define finance data management metrics, KPIs, reporting protocols and action plans to evaluate data quality and enforce established data standards

- Align master data controls to meet compliance and business goals

- Coordinate with other functional areas, including IT, on enterprise-wide data governance

- In-depth know how of master data governance not restricted to finance & procurement. Exposure to manufacturing processes will be a plus

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related area

- 12+ years experience with Big 4 or industry related experience in an operational accounting focused role

- Strong analytical skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks

- Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

- Experience with SAP (R/3) and HFM or OneStream XF preferred

- Large, multi-national public company experience preferred

- High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite and analytical tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
