Finance Controller - Retail/QSR

Job Role: Finance Controller

Job brief: To undertake all aspects of accounts and finance management, including corporate accounting, regulatory, taxation and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

- Research technical accounting issues for compliance under IGAAP and IND-AS

- Support month-end and year-end close process

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements

- Handle taxation return filling and assessments

- Manage banking and treasury operations

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

- Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements and skills:

- Excellent Academic track record

- Chartered Accountant (Preferred First Attempt)

- Proven working experience in a Financial lead role in FMCG / QSR

- 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including IND - AS

- Experience with creating financial statements including consolidation

- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

- Exposed to taxation.

- Worked in an ERP environment

- Leadership skills to handle team
