Client is a conglomerate who has extensive expertise in construction, real estate, hospitality, and manufacturing. A qualified CA with minimum 16 to 18 years of post CA experience. As part of an executive management team, the Financial Controller shall - Provide leadership and direction to /and management of the finance and accounting team. - Manage the processes for Accounts finalization, financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting. - Preparation of long-term business and financial planning. - Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders. - Review of all formal finance related procedures and take corrective measures where necessary. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. To monitor the inflow & outflow of funds to ensure optimum utilisation of available funds and aiming at profitable investments to accomplish organisational goals. 2. To take full responsibility for the operation and integrity of the Accounts Payable ledger, Accounts Receivable ledger and General ledger. 3. To conduct in-depth study of new projects and determine their financial viability. Shall hold the prime responsibility of the financial plan and financial management of the projects undertaken. 4. To establish the source of funding to finance the project and ascertain the ability to service the loan. Shall liaise and negotiate with banks and financial institutions for raising funds to meet working capital and project requirements on the best terms and draw a contingency plan in the event of delay in completion, etc. 5. Identification, analysis and management of risks and advising the top management on the same. Utilising costing data and information for decision making purposes and utilising cash flow and fund flow statements as essential planning and control devices. 6. To prepare a detailed project budget before commencement of each project in consultation with all stake holders of the project and circulate to the Board Members for final approval and ensure that the financial commitment is in line with the approved budget. 7. To monitor every line item of the budget and check for compliance and variations. Any variation from the approved budget should be reported to the Board of Directors and approval sought for such variation and suitable revision. 8. To provide financial concurrence for work orders and purchase orders being issued and in appointment of consultants. 9. Shall be responsible for Accounts finalization, cash flow management (monthly and yearly), internal and external audits. 10. To ensure that all required statutory compliance of Direct & Indirect taxes are adhered to as per applicable laws. 11. To oversee suppliers/ vendors/consultants- payments in line with the cash position of the business. 12. To oversee periodic reconciliations of supplier/vendors- statements by the team. 13. Shall oversee all compliance and secretarial responsibilities including conducting of Board meetings, minutes and filing to respective authorities in line with Companies Act.
